You give a coach 5 years and then evaluate if he earns more time.

Re: Tom Pecora
Looks like Andy Toole is close to becoming the coach at Fordham.
Update: Nevermind, RMU released a statement saying he's remaining the coach. I guess he realized he shouldn't kill his career this soon.

Re: Tom Pecora
Fordham hires EKU's Neubauer as next head coach
Re: Tom Pecora
Who? Seems out of left field to me... but maybe I just don't know - brutal job though so bet the pickings would be slim - FU needs to get out of the A10 fast
Re: Tom Pecora
Heard someone mention him as possible assistant at St. Johns? not a bad idea.

Re: Tom Pecora
Agreed TP could be the assistant head coach...would be a pretty good team IMO.
Re: Tom Pecora
How about Speedy as a Asst to CM at St John's - didn't Speedy work for CM with Warriors???
Re: Tom Pecora
Shhhhhhhh! Don't even suggest such a thing!
Re: Tom Pecora
We should be very nervous about this happening... Time to UP speedy's contract and title?daHUPride wrote:How about Speedy as a Asst to CM at St John's - didn't Speedy work for CM with Warriors???

Re: Tom Pecora
If Speedy leaves I think Norm Richardson would slide into his spot.
Re: Tom Pecora
Speedy is Mr. Hofstra, so I'd be surprised if he bolted to St. John's, especially if he is the potential HC in waiting here. That would not be the case at SJU. And I haven't seen his name mentioned anywhere at all for Mullin's staff. It's looking like Mullin will take his best bud who is the top assistant at Iowa St and maybe Barry Rohrssen. Also been seeing Jared Grasso's name mentioned all over the place.
Re: Tom Pecora
Yup Mullin took his bud from Iowa St...now he'll need an x's and 0's coach...to fill out the staff
Re: Tom Pecora
there is not a DOUBT in my mind that Speedy is the next Hofstra coach - - - either in 1 yr, 5 yrs, 8 yrs...but he's next.

Re: Tom Pecora
I highly doubt he'd go to St. John's, he has no connection there beside Mullin. I imagine he's here to help out Hofstra, and to eventually become the head coach (as previously mentioned), and not for the money, which would probably be the biggest thing to make him go the SJU. Clearly this is where he wants to be. The only place I could potentially see him going for a year or two is Villanova just to be with Jay Wright, but he isn't going to go anywhere else.
Re: Tom Pecora
Saw on twitter that the Kentucky assistant St John's wants is making $375k as an assistant!!!! Writer said that that's MAAC top tier head coach money!

Re: Tom Pecora
Jeez, that's obsessive. Did TP have an affair with his wife?
Re: Tom Pecora
my goodness, what in the world happened here?? Is he accusing TP of questionable actions, or just very poor performance/attitude??
