You give a coach 5 years and then evaluate if he earns more time.

Looks like Andy Toole is close to becoming the coach at Fordham.
Update: Nevermind, RMU released a statement saying he's remaining the coach. I guess he realized he shouldn't kill his career this soon.

Who? Seems out of left field to me... but maybe I just don't know - brutal job though so bet the pickings would be slim - FU needs to get out of the A10 fast

If Speedy leaves I think Norm Richardson would slide into his spot.

Speedy is Mr. Hofstra, so I'd be surprised if he bolted to St. John's, especially if he is the potential HC in waiting here. That would not be the case at SJU. And I haven't seen his name mentioned anywhere at all for Mullin's staff. It's looking like Mullin will take his best bud who is the top assistant at Iowa St and maybe Barry Rohrssen. Also been seeing Jared Grasso's name mentioned all over the place.

Yup Mullin took his bud from Iowa St...now he'll need an x's and 0's coach...to fill out the staff

there is not a DOUBT in my mind that Speedy is the next Hofstra coach - - - either in 1 yr, 5 yrs, 8 yrs...but he's next.

I highly doubt he'd go to St. John's, he has no connection there beside Mullin. I imagine he's here to help out Hofstra, and to eventually become the head coach (as previously mentioned), and not for the money, which would probably be the biggest thing to make him go the SJU. Clearly this is where he wants to be. The only place I could potentially see him going for a year or two is Villanova just to be with Jay Wright, but he isn't going to go anywhere else.
