If Speedy doesn't have tons of options Preston will get a trial by fire. Probably will be up for the challenge.

Anyone have the skinny on Amir Williams? Presume he redshirted this year. Can we expect anything from him next year?

Was thinking the same thing because he's the kid that slips thru the cracks in all these discussions re next season. In his senior year he averaged a little over 10 points a game. Will he be just another bench player. He has good size at 6'4.

Might add Carlos Lopez to that inquiry.

Yeah I was never able to find out (yet) what happened to Lopez but considering that we were offensively inept and Carlos played well in his freshman year he's a kid that should be in the conversation. We've lost too many kids that left and panned out well for other schools Marshall and Green come to mind initially.

Speaking of Green, in a head-scratcher, he and his Rhode Island Rams, who in their last regular season game four days earlier, beat Fordham 86-67, were eliminated from the A10 tourney as a 10 seed today, losing to the same 15th-seeded Fordham Rams, 88-71.
Those Rams were 3-15 in conference play and lost eight straight before the A10 tourney. So, if they're like Delaware, they'll be playing for an A10 title on Sunday.

We need some decent size forwards and bigs who can play. We have Davis at PG for 2 more years so that position is set. Could use some consistent shooting too. Lots of work to repair this nightmare of a season.

Honestly, despite their assist numbers I don't think Davis or Jean really are meant to be PGs. Part of our stagnancy on offense may have been because we didn't have a true PG to right the ship
The question going forward is if Edmead or another PG plays with Cruz and Jean, do we have enough size with Jean essentially playing the 3 then?

agreed, both are combo guards. and the offense was built around those two guys, with the dribble hand off action back and forth and occasional high ball screen from the center, waiting for one of them to break down their guy then make the right decision (pull up, hit the screener, drive, kick out) - which neither was really all that great at doing. nor did they have any real threats on the outside to open up space.
a more traditional point guard should open up a bunch of different sets they can run. Not sure Edmead is that guy though, his highlights are almost exclusively of him scoring.

I have to say that I'm in agreement with this that's why if Edmead is ready for the jump to D1 he will become the PG. He not only can penetrate he can dish and score. He also has far better hops then Carlos as evidenced by some of his videos.

If Edmead is the real deal, and Jean and Cruz both stay, I see Edmead as the PG, with the other two working off of him and Cruz as the primary scoring option. One step at a time though. Let's see how the portal goes, if Jean and/or Cruz both stay, who else may be brought in and how could that affect roles? But also, it's a lot to put on a freshman to run the offense, to play good enough defense at the college level, for a freshman to adjust to the game often seeming quicker than what they're used to, and the game seeming to slow down for them as they adjust. Quick development during non-conference play will be huge for Edmead to get him ready for CAA play next year. Pasha started slowly but had his first breakout game five games in and then took off from there for Delaware.
