Re: Hofstra rebranding
I saw that on twitter… I have no clue what it means, but we haven't had a refresh in 20 years so it’s time.
Re: Hofstra rebranding
So no more female lion superimposed over a male one anymore?
The direction they've been headed, the new colors will be black, blue and white, with the yellow completely removed (I hope not!).

So no preditory mascots anymore since it has been linked to toxic masculinity
The new nickname for Hofstra will either be
The koalas
The pandas
Or the tulips

Rather spend the money on the NIL.
We already have new lion costumes!

Hofstra Rebranding
The new logo doesn't excite me at all. I like the thoughts behind it as Poser described it, but I find the design lacking. What do you guys think?

Re: Hofstra Rebranding
I guess it's to replace the Flying H in the shield (which I also hate) which replaced the crest with the lions
I doubt it will be used for sports branding. Sent from my moto g power 5G - 2024 using Tapatalk

good call Stu.
I happen to like the new logo quite a bit
accomplishes what the idea was behind it in a clean and simple way

Let's see how it applies to our sports teams. Frankly I'd rather spend this money on the NIL.

Re: Hofstra rebranding
I like it compared to the shield. I never understood why HU selected a shield as a representation of the University. The new logo does keep the Dutch heritage of the founding Hofstra family. It also is a much cleaner looking representation. The Blue & Gold really pops out, which is just what you want in a logo design. Let's see how it goes from here, I and my family are optimistic about the new design.
Re: Hofstra rebranding
Shouldn't they have placed the new logo rather than the old one on the very podium Poser was speaking from to introduce the new logo?
I guess that may have ruined the big reveal but then don't place the old logo there either?
