We’ve become very complacent with our athletic programs including our men’s lax team which used to be quite decent to where we are now accepting of the fact that we aren’t and won’t be making it to the NCAA tourney probably ever again.
We have nothing to build off of for next year. Don’t kid yourself
Mens lax 2025
Re: Mens lax 2025
That was a really tough loss. I enjoyed watching this team this year.
The goalie was awesome, the defense greatly improved and some real offensive talent.
I feel bad for the seniors but feel better about the program.

Agree Captain...great group, played their hearts out, and yes something to build on for next year.
Re: Mens lax 2025
I thought we played our best game of the season yesterday. We took the 15th-ranked team in the country to OT in a year where some doubted that we would even qualify for the playoffs.
Junior attack Mikey Weisshaar, the CAA Offensive POTY, was the difference. He had 5 goals and 3 assists yesterday vs. just 1 goal and 1 assist on Saturday.

I'm also very optimistic about next year. Although we are losing several of our leaders to graduation, we will return a very promising offensive core, including FR Drew Bogardus (35g 11a), R-JR Trevor Natalie (28g, 12a), JR Anthony Mollica (26g, 24a), JR Trey Parkes (16g, 18a), and FR Joey DeYoung (13g, 3a).
We also have a very solid goalie in R-FR Shea Kennedy. He only became the starter a couple of days before the season began, when GR transfer Jon Singer suffered a season-ending injury. Kennedy had a rough second game vs. Siena, but settled into his new role and finished the season strong, with a 55% save percentage, best in the CAA (OK, 0.004% behind SBU's goalie).
I am also looking forward to the new players coming in next year. But more about them another time.
