So in jest on another thread I said we should change our nickname from the Pride to the Ospreys For those that don't know an Osprey is in the form of a hawk
They are found on the South Shore of Long Island
If you want to be more colorful we can add blue or Golden to the front of the nickname
Do any of you want to come up with other suggestions

I'm all for going back to Flying Dutchmen (they got it right the first time) but if you're looking for something unique (like Pride), the Ospreys name is already taken by North Florida in the ASUN.

This would be a unique name, kind of a cool sounding one, and they would make for a cool logo, but no tie anywhere near Long Island.

When this idea was first brought up since I go back to the days of the announcer saying “The Dutchmen are in the game” should have never changed the name IMO! Our roots are Dutch should go back to it but won’t!!
