We don't run an offense. No real point guard. No size, rebounding issues.

7 minutes and again, no points (on only one shot) from Sanders. Is he really a part of the offense or even a main part of the rotation anymore? Doesn't seem like it.

Just a mention of Speedy and his post presser as we point out how offensively we are challenged. Speedy of course emphasized how this team hasn't played a full 40 minutes and needs to shoot with confidence. Stephen Gorchov says to Speedy you really need to find that 3rd scorer so Speedy replied THIRD we need to find that SECOND SCORER!! Not showing much praise for what Cruz has been not doing of late! Speaking volumes.

Another crazy blown game, a tale of two halves... becoming the norm. We'll see if they can rebound this week with two at the Mack. Much needed.

Crazy thing is, as bad as that play was, they murdered KJ on that shot attempt so had he not stepped on the line he almost certainly would've had the chance to tie it with three free throws.

Over the last 4 games Cruz is shooting 29% from the field, with 11 made FG vs 15 turnovers, and he's missed HALF his FT attempts. No idea what happened to him.

Reading between the lines it sounds like there's a standard of extra work after practice that Speedy expects and these kids aren't putting in. He's harped on guys needing to get in the gym and get extra shots all year. At the same time, there needs to be more accountability from Speedy for the way his offensive sets and substitution patterns have fallen well short this year too. What a mess

They need to find a first scorer, to be honest. They don't have any guards that are in the rotation and shoot over 40% from the field.

In the past, we've had the top players in the CAA we don't have anyone Close to a CAA player of the year
These elite players take over the game in the final for five minutes
We are not closing our games because we don't have someone That caliber

if they do get another player like that, they'll be gone the following year.

This, and that's not the best way to build anyway. All of those CAA Players of the Year led to a lone CAA tournament title.

But if you change the approach, have more player movement, ball movement, more screens, more post-ups, make the defense work harder, and not try so often to just beat defenders off the dribble while teammates are stagnant, you can become greater than the sum of the parts and generate easier buckets and more offense instead of settling for tough 3s. They already have CAA championship-caliber defense. If they can just get another 8-10 points of offense with a different approach, they can look very different. They could be 4-2 or 5-1 instead of 2-4 right now had they already been able to do that (they lost three CAA games that their D kept them in by 6, 5, and 5 because they couldn't get another few buckets or so).

Actually the year we won the championship 2020 we didn’t have the player of the year although Buie should have won it. I like the reference the whole can be greater than the sum of the parts.

I think we on the board all see "movement" as the issue (seems like many of us keep pointing it out)......don't know why the staff doesn't see it as well!
Seems like when the team has good spurts (10 minutes or even a half) it's always during a period when we have movement. But it never lasts!!!!!! With movement, not only do we get better shots, but the better shots typically result in better shooting percentage, as well.
