Jaquan Sanders

Post by Captain »

So we have a 9 game preview of our 2024-2025 team.
We look like we have some talent and depth at guard as usual. The front court may be an efficient group.
Cruz Davis is making this team go. So smooth.
Jean Aranguren can be a force and I think will continue to improve.
I like the they both along with Kijan try to go to the hoop.
What is the scope of Jaquan Davis’s game?
Is he just a 3 point shooter who is currently in a shooting slump?
Will he put the extra time shooting 3’s in the gym like many of his predecessors did when slumping?
Can he get into the paint too?
Is he too unselfish?
Does he need to push himself to do more?
I am not sure we have seen his A game yet and I have high hopes that he has another level and gear.
If he does then watch out!
Any comments?

Jaquan Sanders not Jaquan Cruz. You are right the jury is out on this guy. He looked good against Iona but has struggled since then. Hofstra's been on the road forever it seems and hopefully he can right himself in the friendly confines of The Mack.

So far not overly impressed. Seems athletic but he forces and takes too many shots...needs to work within the confines of the offense...we'll see if he improves moving forward.

So is Sanders just in a horrific shooting slump, or is this just who he is and why he got buried at Seton Hall? And how long will Speedy give him to dig his way out (if he even can)?

For Sanders to go scoreless with 3 fouls against a D3 school... woof. Wasn't a serious game today but would have liked to have seen him take it a little more seriously considering his struggles
