MBB recruits 2016
Re: MBB recruits 2016
Coach told me he was going to the Bronx yesterday to look at some JC kids. Did not say who. Any ideas?
Re: MBB recruits 2016
A week ago he was in Florida looking at JC kids and yesterday he was in Bronx looking at JC kids...he seems determined not too have too many freshman on the 2016-17 roster...nothing wrong with that
Re: MBB recruits 2016
Over the past week, four guards we had offered decided to go elsewhere. The schools they went to are Providence, Rhode Island, UNLV, and UNCW.... all highly regarded programs (uncw???) I love the fact that we are going after highly regarded talent. JAM and staff are consistently identifying and then going after high level players. This is exactly what we need to do, and it is great to see. The program can only be raised with increasing the talent level (and other factors, of course). I am confident we will land our share from this 2016 class.
Re: MBB recruits 2016
I agree but there have been so many signings lately...would love to see us join the party....SOON!
Re: MBB recruits 2016
I think it is important to come out of October/November with at least two players...hopefully staff is working and getting close on some guys we are not aware of
Re: MBB recruits 2016
Hopefully Good things come to those who wait.
Re: MBB recruits 2016

Saw that, plenty of movement
Remember, these aren't necessarily 'losses' for HU, a lot depends on the level of interest the player has in HU, how confident HU feels they are with a player, how hard they are pursuing etc
Some may be, some may not - a lot of these guys were likely not high probabilities to land at HU to begin with - but I'm sure a couple of these guys HU was going hard after as well...
Hearing the staff is going hard after Jucos is a sign to me that they don't have the right potential commits they are looking for yet...maybe 1 or 2 but looking to fill out the class with the right talent (which is perfectly fine by me - however they need to put together a championship team is fine - there is not one/right way - just get the best talent guys which character/integrity you can!)

Highlight films can be misleading but I want this kid. Can handle the ball . has a mid range jumper and a good pull up jumper. he looks like he can create his own shot and looks to be a decent passer. At 6ft8 and 220 he can play the 3 or 4. JAM sign him up I will supply the pen.

He's about 30 minutes from where I live here in the twin cities. Maybe I should bring him some Hofstra gear.
Re: MBB recruits 2016
Be careful about supplying the pen Stu....that may be considered a violation of NCAA rules...LOL...intriguing prospect who is being recruited by a lot of schools...
Re: MBB recruits 2016
Pemberton & Mitchell...land them both and what a start to this class....come on JAM....we can do it

Do we know if pemberton is in play? I certainly hope so.
Re: MBB recruits 2016
We met with him about 2 weeks ago...this was after he backed out on W & M...have not heard we are not a player....he is being recruited by a ton of schools just like Mitchell
Re: MBB recruits 2016
Pemberton may go higher I think.

Right there with ya DMV.
Re: MBB recruits 2016
We are still in the hunt for Pemberton however Mitchell wants to go to school closer to home
Re: MBB recruits 2016
Agree it's dragging ! At the same time don't want them just filling spots, need IMPACT guys
Believe EP has or may be visiting St Bona - was really hoping HU would've locked him up asap after the de-commit, but glad to hear he's still in play - he's worth the effort from what we can tell - keep going JM, '16 can be a program elevating class!!
