https://www.cbssports.com/college-baske ... 22-season/ and https://www.cbssports.com/college-baske ... 22-season/ rank the teams. They have us 232nd, and sixth in the CAA. JMU leads in 125th. The CAA's mean rank of 221.4 is worse than what the Sagarin expects.

Re: Media Thread
After starting the year with no votes in the mid-major poll, we're now receiving 13. Other notables: Delaware w/ 7 votes, Charleston w/9. Princeton has 32. And Iona, our opponent tonight, is ranked 10th.
Re: Media Thread
What is it with Newsday?
All of their coverage of Hofstra always has some sort of negative twist like yesterday's headline, "Hofstra falters down the stretch again" in its coverqage of the Iona game.
That is increibly misleading!
Meanwhil every Stony Brook article say something like this "Stony Brook's incredible effort just falls short," even though they lose by 20!
Is it just me??? Or does anyone read this rag anymore?

Re: Media Thread
Not sure if HU has a block of seats saved and available for fans for thier game at SB, but only a few open seats left on the SB website. I picked up a few seats yesterday>
Re: Media Thread
Newsday is straight up garbage. I highly recommend that everyone boycott and cease to support them – I have stopped utilizing them in any way shape or form for years now. Their Hofstra negative bias is absolutely ridiculous and disgusting. I refuse to give them even a click on the web.

To Husid lets look at Hofstras report on their win over Molloy Not one mention in the story that Molloy was a division 2 team Also was not impressed by the post game presser This team cannot shoot Molloy because of only 9 players on the team sat in a zone all game and dared us to shoot the 3 ball Come conference play that will be the scouting report on this team How bad us it We scored only 52, points against a div2 team

Re: Media Thread
As I had already mentioned here and got no reply How come the coach didn't do the post presser after the embarrassing loss to Albany? Instead she sends out the asst. coach to listen to the tough questions about this team??????

Re: Media Thread
Yes That is just non coverage as opposed to slanting a story. So Hofstra sugar coated the story by omission . It goes both ways.

To be honest with you when I saw the close score I thought to myself wow Molloy must have gone D1 because realistically we should have won in a major lopsided score.
