This kid is unreal at how strong he finishes with major contact - banging around with the bigs and still makes them pay - has a knack for putting the ball in the basket no matter how physical he's defended - so stoked to see him suit up and grow at HU:

A nice game for Griffin awhile back, not much more on him, but hoping he can scorch the basket here:

Also, the Harvard transfer with the big list of suiters (including HU) Danilo Djuricic committed to Santa Clara. He'll be one of the few humans actually moving TO Cali these days lol

1. Definitely excited for Carlos. Has to be the best recruit in at least the Mihalich era. Don’t want to put any added pressure on the kid thought
2. Griffin should at least be a solid depth piece for us to start our.
3. Lol; well it’s usually the rich moving out of CA not the college students making no money.

The transfer deluge has started. The portal is packed and I'm sure this is just the beginning.
In the CAA:
CoC has 5 transfers listed,
JMU has 3 listed,
Tyson Walker is leaving NU.

To Jojogunne, go to Verbal Commits, and then go to CAA. They are all listed. There are 2 more listed as of today.

The state of mid-major transfers is annoying. I'm sure all these transfers have their individual reasons, but it's difficult for even a well-run, competitive program like Northeastern to lose guys like Tyson Walker. Schools at our level need to grind so hard to find diamonds in the rough, nothing is handed to them, and now the moment a player feels like he's proven himself or can go somewhere more enticing, he jumps ship.

Well that's a real shame hopefully he fully recovers from this latest setback cause god knows we could use another legit scorer.

UGH hate to hear that for him, prayers up for a speedy and full recovery.

That said, HU needs to recruit and replace, I'm sorry to say - this program needs scorers and has next to zero returning. Don't give up on him by any means, and I'm sure they won't, but do NOT for one second rely on him as before. Carlos can only do so much. Best get busy staff, you are in trouble next year, and this certainly doesn't help.

As for the transfer market, it's absolutely brutal for mids, tough loss for NU (not that it matters with Cohen), BUT it has been a Godsend for HU - and here we are in need of more once again - they need to hit that market and get another big time bucket getter / shooter and a big in here to go along with the point.

We just got ourselves a sr. transfer post player Scott Blakney from Idaho per V/C. A starter who averaged 10.7 and 3 rebounds a game last year. 6'9 230. Perfect we need someone who will replace Isaac. He also shoots 77% from the FT line. Not a big rebounder but can score. He averaged 21 minutes a game last year.

That is a long recovery Give it about 15 to 18 months. Looking at a redshirt year at least.

UGH God bless the kid, and to a speedy full recovery - feel for him.

And like I said, HU best be getting busy to replace. This program needs scoring, badly.

Best wishes to Barrouk, nothing wrong with a redshirt year. In the meantime, agree with Polito that we'll need some immediate talent. Best way to get it is transfers, should be a big market and we should keep an eye out on any Kante-type guys who are looking to come back home.
