His FT % COULD BE BETTER BUT WHY BE nitpicking. He has solid numbers all around.

Nice ball handling skills and appears very quick. Definitely a distributor. https://youtu.be/NRhm4l9qOKs

Bethea and Masic are shooting guards, not the same position...

Neither seem like guys who would need a year, but the minutes could be tough to come by.

Looking at Bethea's numbers with stat lines like 21&12 against Seton Hall prep, and this juco they just signed, seems like they have quite a collection of larger guards who can rebound. You could run any combination of Cowart and Kante plus 3 of Bethea, Green, Coburn, or Cramer where everyone can rebound.

Helloooooo PG! Fantastic get, this is one you get excited about - 6 assists/game at a good program in a good league at the JUCO level, THAT'S a PG folks. Great size, big, strong, D1 ready, unafraid to drive to the basket, and plays a TON of minutes (great fit for JM system). Dished out 10 dimes his last game, kids a floor general and team leader. Rebounds, and plays D. Used to having enormous responsibility w/the ball, and biggest negative is TO's sometimes due to that much time with the ball... hopefully improves that here. Star in HS, all-conf guy now, stat filler leading the league in a few.

Feel great about the PG spot now between him and Burgess. His maturity level may even put him in the starter spot, but either way the right position protection has been secured.

Miranda was never going to play much here. Wasn't brought in for that. Supporting player who possessed nice size enough ability to backup if needed, and to bring value on practice squad. Prepared for the same with Masic. And that's ok. If he surprises, even better.

Would be in best interest for all for Hughes to make a change as well. Wondering if there may even be a chance that Silverio does... although the idea of a 2nd transfer may push him to stay.

Really like that HU's getting bigger 1-4. Quite intriguing, not a common thing around here lol.

Polito, glad to hear to like this kid...think he's a stud and really bolsters that position...but let's be careful...last year was a magic ride...not so sure it can be duplicated but I sure hope so! Stay well my friend!

We've had back to back magic ride seasons in my view. Last year there was the 16 game winning streak and the regular season championship and NIT bid. The biggest difference this year was the UCLA win and that Hofstra played like Champions the last five minutes of the CAA title game.

Hoping the back court competition will bring out the best in Silverio...he has a lot more talent then he has shown so far

This is ever so true and if the REAL Silverio finds himself we could be a very competitive team that again will battle for the championship in the CAA. At least right now I think that us and Delaware will be the two best teams in this league without being privy to what players are picked up via transfers and impact freshmen.

Just clicked the link and haven't read the article yet but doesn't that other guy in the still shot of the video look like JWF? Or have I just been cooped up in my house to long.

Looks a bit like him but not his twin, lol. Thanks for the post as we begin to know what a gem we apparently have landed here. So I say to everyone what does this signing mean in terms of Caleb who a lot of people saw so much promise in. Is this an indictment on his game or is this the insurance policy on this position? I think probably a bit of both but I feel Elmo will at times slide over to the 2 and both him and Burgess will be on the floor at the same time. The possibilities are endless with the kids we have coming in and Joe won't lament that his 5 starters getting most of the minutes is a scenario that borders on disaster eg injuries and foul trouble. Just paraphrasing what he said last night. So I'm getting major excited with what could shape up to be a very special year if it in fact gets off the ground.

This is just my opinion but I don't think we will see much of CB and SC on the floor together this coming season but maybe the next season. I think we have plenty of players already at the 2 spot to fill those minutes; especially if Coburn slides more the 3. I do think CB will get some minutes and I am hoping he works hard on his game over the summer to take that next step.

I think Caleb has great potential. He's tall, athletic and can play defense. I think he needs to work on his offense to gain more confidence.

I can see him playing maybe 10 minutes or so to keep Cowart fresh...

I think your right on HUSID. In the video where Cowart talks about his recruitment, he mentions several times the expectation of extensive playing time. I don't think he would be talking about PT if Joe had not led him to believe it was available (of course that assumes he lives up to his own capabilities and such).

It will be interesting to see how things shake out at the 4. I none of ST, KC, or DG can hold the starting role, it will likely default back to TC. That will have a domino effect and open up more time for our shooting guards to fill up time at the 2 and 3 spots.

He will get at least 10 at the 1. Yes Elmo wants 30 minutes and will get that between the 1 and 2 positions IMO. We will see how this shakes out but if these players live up to their reputations we will have an interesting and a diverse b-ball team.

Am I the only one that feels that the puzzle hasn't been completed yet here? I just get the feeling that we'll have another transfer and thus freeing up another scholarship. Does anyone else have this feeling??
