Re: JWF
I was just looking at the Stars' schedule. It looks like most of their games are available via streaming:
https://saltlakecity.gleague.nba.com/schedule/
Is Twitch free?
The Stars will also be coming to Westchester in January (no game at the Nassau Coliseum, however). Looks like the W-Knicks' game will also be shown on MSG:
Sat, Jan 18
3:00 PM ET
Salt Lake City stars
Westchester Knicks
Westchester County Center
White Plains, NY

Twitch is at https://www.twitch.tv/ and it's free. It's used to livestream things including gaming. Unrelated to sports, I watched something on Twitch, and the screen had a bunch of live comments to distract you.

It's great to have 7 rebounds and 5 assists to show he can do more than score.
Re: JWF
Wags what does he need to do to get to the big team???? Besides grow 3 inches LOLWags wrote:Exactly. But even just scoring, in the variety of ways in which he can do that, is valuable in today's NBA.EvanJ wrote:It's great to have 7 rebounds and 5 assists to show he can do more than score.
Re: JWF
An opportunity. The Jazz are no joke. They're one of the better teams in the West and they have Conley (who they just acquired this past summer) at the 1, Mudiay (a former lottery pick) backing Conley up, Exum, (a former lottery pick who they drafted themselves and are still trying to develop, though he's in his fifth year and barely playing this year), Williams-Goss (who starred at Gonzaga) and of course, Donovan Mitchell at the 2. Nobody said making an NBA roster was easy. That's a lot of talent to jump ahead of. His best chance right now would be to keep balling out with the Stars and hope that Utah (as they probably should've already done, or might do soon) gives up on Exum, opening a slot of JWF.HUSID74 wrote:Wags what does he need to do to get to the big team???? For now, he just has to keep showing what he's been showing in Summer League and in the G-League. That's all he can do. And when a chance arises, due to an injury or something else with Utah, or perhaps with another team, be ready to seize it.

Still making young fans happy by meeting them and signing autographs, just as he did at Hofstra:

Re: JWF
https://stats.gleague.nba.com/leaders/ says's he's 37th in the G League. Josh Gray leads with 28.9 points. He was undrafted from LSU, and played 5 NBA games for Phoenix in 2017-2018 and 2 for New Orleans this season. The third leading scorer with 24.3 points is Kyle Guy, who helped Virginia win the NCAA Tournament and helped me win money. Devontae Cacok is 52nd with 16.9 per game, and Jarrell Brantley is 66th with 15.9 per game. Cacok is third with 11.9 rebounds, and Brantley is 57th with 6.7 rebounds. Teams have played 12 to 16 games, and among players with at least 10 games, Cacok is fifth with a .675 field goal percentage. Brantley got in two games for Utah and averaged 2.0 rebounds, 0.5 assists, 1.0 block, and no field goal or free throw attempts. After not being drafted, the Lakers recently gave Cacok a two-way contract. Shamorie Ponds is 62nd with 16.2 per game, while former St. John's teammate Justin Simon averages 11.2 and is 59th with 6.6 rebounds.
Re: JWF
Yes - he is listed as 37th top scorer (even though as I mentioned he leads his own team). He averages 19 per game and needs 21.5 to be in the top ten.
Most importantly, JWF averages 26 min per game. That is the lowest amount of playing time compared to the 36 guys ahead of him. In fact, 35 of the top 37 average over 30 minutes per game. Absolutely no doubt that if he played another 5-7 minutes like the majority of the guys ahead of him, he would be in the low to mid 20 pts per game range and likely one of the top 5-7 scorers in the league.

Re: JWF
Yup. Been saying it since before the draft. Iggy Brazdeikis was pretty good at Michigan, but he's hardly played for the Knicks.HUSID74 wrote:Justin is exactly what the moribund Knicks need. A guy who can shoot the 3 and score!
JWF went at 53. The Knicks were set to pick at 55 (where Utah picked Brantley, from Charleston, after taking JWF), but traded up to 47 to get Brazdeikis, who has thus far played in just seven games, totaling only 47 minutes this season.
JWF, with the way the myriad of ways he can score from 2 and 3, and being a local product, would've have played more, been far more productive would've infused a lot more excitement for a franchise that sorely needs it than what Brazdeikis has done for the Knicks so far (which isn't much). The Knicks really missed a good opportunity to have an exciting, young local guy, who's a really nice person off the court, who's very good with the media, and who Knicks fans would've loved. It's a shame.

Re: JWF
Even if he could have helped the Knicks, if Utah didn't have any second round picks and the Knicks didn't want him, it's possible he wouldn't have been drafted. Most projections didn't have him being drafted. Furthermore, as of draft day, many second round picks from far away schools were more known by Knick fans than JWF was because we aren't popular.dutchalum01 wrote: I know my wolves brought JWF in for a look - did the knicks?
