16 point deficit, with Pusica on the bench. Pathetic performance so far, in pretty much all aspects.

Total one on one effort so far - zero passing. Chuck it up and see what happens. No offensive boards. Three assists. Forcing everything.

NU - passing the ball, working for shots, playing a team game. Ten assists. Making HU look like a CAA 10 seed.

We better play like a different team next half.

You can look at all the stats and cannot find anything positive: down by 16, giving up runs of 9 and 8, poor rebounding, and a 27-14 NU run with Pusica on the bench.

Pusica has more 3 pointers (7) than Hofstra's entire team (6).

Coaching was the difference. Letting Ray throw up contested threes early in the clock, losing Pusica (the guy who has cooked you all night) in the corner for the dagger, fouling 15 seconds into the shot clock down 6. I like Joe but he got outprepared and outcoached, plain and simple.

I’ll never understand for the life of me why they can’t have this tournament at campus sites. Criminal to steal home games from the top seed and play in an empty gym

Couldn't have said it any better myself. Last year, I wanted Joe fired. He won coach of the year on me this year. He SUCKS in game though.

Real conferences have games in neutral sites. Not a single big conference plays on campus. I like it on the road. We lose this game at home anyway. We played zero defense.

What a coward statement. We didn’t play great tonight, but we came back from 16 down, showed a lot of heart. I’m pissed we lost too, but come on.

Truth is though, Joe deserves a lot of blame, we are a TERRIBLE defensive team, and we’ll probably never win the big one with him because of that. The collective lack of defense all game got us that loss.

What’s the over under number of POYs this fing program will blow in our lifetime??

I friggin hate this hard luck bullshit - I need to stop posting I know

Believed in them - and as usual every mother fing yr they let down - every damn yr - can’t wait to hear JM gush about another program bending him and his team over

May never see another fing dance in my damn lifetime at this rate - fing sickening - so aggravated I can’t even express -alright I’m done.

Great regular season guys - HU the kings of meaningless bullshit. It was a great regular season - that’s a fact - just no one gives a shit except us ‘always the bridesmaid’ fams that only ever have that to hang our hats on.

Shouldn't matter where the game is played. A good team should be able to win, regardless of location.

Zero adjustments all game. Joe’s MO. Coen ran circles around him. Sigh.

When HU came out in the second half and came back from a 16 point deficit to tie the game who in reality was getting out coached then. It also happened rather quickly as well. It wasn't his fault when we threw away the ball when the game was tied and we had a chance to take the lead or when our two best players missed the front end of one and ones. You can't fault him for that but maybe he should have gone to a man to man defense instead of the zone. It's true we gave up wide open three's just like we did yesterday to a team that half of their shots are three's. We're all distraught after getting their and not being able to finish. Its all everyone talked about all season and what a great season it was. It's very disappointing but One game might stop us from getting into the NCAA'S but its not going to diminish the great season we had. At least not IMO!!

Is anyone going to jump all over jaspegs for the truth? Because if I said stuff like this you guys would be all over it.

And I am not asking for anybody to be fired. Let’s make that very clear. I’m just extremely disappointed frustrated and angered that this is clearly becoming Hofstra’s peak - this is the best we can expect from this program. Tons of talent, zero defense, a hardluck staff that is always the bridesmaid, and nothing but yearly disappointment.
Would’ve could’ve should’ve, the HU motto.

Hard to take. I find it amazing that many can be so cool with it all. But hey, carry-on. God bless you all, I can certainly learn a LOT about how to deal lol. I’ll own that! Just can’t get excited about being NIT bound with this talent -
And likely one and done - should be great...?

And no Hagerty.

And no 1st rd draft pick.

But great ‘almost’ story.

No one has disagreed with you dude. Jaspegs made a spot on comment. The difference was that you were a little baby with your comment. No one on the board is happy right now, we are all pissed. Last year I got SHIT on for making a fire JM thread, and I meant it. He never adjusts in game, we know that. We won 27 games with zero in-game adjustments. We're all mad. We showed it differently.

Shoutout to jaspegz though. He was in Charleston all weekend. Safe travels home man. We got some Jets disasters coming our way as well.

You know I love you man, but maybe you should just root for the Yankees, the GS Warriors, etc...and please don't jump off a bridge!

Terribly disappointed but in reality the better team won. NU was predicted to win the conference and if not for a bunch of injuries probably would have. They lost a heartbreaker in Hempstead and beat us easily in Boston. Not that upsets can't happen but the "guys with the crooked noses" had NU the favorite tonight. We made a helluva comeback but our porous defense let us down again and as pointed out those two missed one and ones blunted our rally and we never recovered. Wished we developed a deeper bench and tried some man and press D so if they were needed were in our arsenal. Playing zone against a team which loves to shoot 3's not the way to go.
PS-Too bad CC got screwed on charge call against Riller or we probably would have played Charleston
