On SB Nation Mid-Major Madness, there is a great JWF article that mentions how important Speedy is to JWF and his family.

It was the last one for a CAA team. As HofstraMathew said, Towson was available because they didn't play Thursday. The Ivy League has 8 teams and 14 conference games, so Ivy League teams start conference games later. In the last 27 days of January, Cornell has only 3 games, the one against Towson and playing their travel partner Columbia on Saturday January 19 and 26. FYI: I know of two times Hofstra played an OOC game other than a BracketBuster during CAA games. In 2013-2014 we went to Southern Methodist (SMU) that was supposed to be played earlier but was postponed. In 2007-2008 we hosted Longwood when we were half done with our CAA games.triplec2195 wrote:It's interesting how a CAA team is still playing OOC games. I saw this scheduled and thought it was a mistake. How did this happen??EvanJ wrote: Towson just lost 86-74 hosting Cornell, and Cornell's Matt Morgan scored 38 get over 2,000 points while shooting better than JWF. Morgan made 13 of 19 field goals including 9 of 14 threes. There have been 13 times in CAA history when a player made at least 9 threes. I say that to show how hard it is. I know that he doesn't play in the CAA.

Reading this reminds me why I am merely a fan and NOT coach making playing time decisions - I will however continue questioning coaching and why guys (ie ST) arent getting playing time that I think they should be getting - but after reading this article there are somemany variables (practice performance, IQ) that go into why a kid gets off the bench.
Anyway - thank you JFW for staying at HU.

That is fantastic, kudos to the stud, and keep it going JWF!
I found this unique piece on YouTube, an hour long interview with him, it's long and the interviewer isn't my favorite, but there are some great tidbits in here:

Good interview - was the interviewer trying out as a sportscaster or a goof on SNL - JFW is the man

He's on pace to break the CAA record for field goal attempts in a season held by Towson's Gary Neal in 2006-2007 when he averaged 25.3 points. He could become the first CAA player other than David Robinson to make 300 field goals in a season. He made 264 last season. The most Jenkins made was 249 as a senior in 2010-2011.
