SNY's Coverage Of Games From American Sports Network (ASN)

Last night SNY showed Delaware at Northeastern from 7:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M., but it ended at about 8:40 P.M. The game was televised from American Sports Network (ASN), which shows several conferences. After Delaware at Northeastern ended, ASN changed to showing the end of New Mexico State at Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC). SNY stayed with ASN until the last media timeout with 3:56 left. Then at 8:52 P.M., SNY went to their own programming. I think it's strange that SNY stayed with ASN after Delaware at Northeastern ended but not until 9:00 P.M. I would understand if SNY went to their regularly scheduled program at 9:00 P.M. even if New Mexico State at UMKC was still going on, but why did SNY change at 8:52 P.M.?
