I really like this schedule a lot, kudos to this staff for another job well done - I've been very impressed and pleased with scheduling since Speedy took over. We of course don't have much in OOC home games, but the 2 we have are Iona and Bucknell - I'll take that all day. Not a Molloy in sight, FINALLY - we don't need anymore of these nonsense games. We need to take advantage of last years success and elevate our brand across the board.

It does seem like we have some overly long breaks in between some games, which I don't love (11/17-12/1, 12/12-12/21, and 12/21-1/2), but I'm not sure if this is final final yet (?) and so far I like every single opponent - I don't see the MTE on here yet for example: https://gohofstra.com/sports/mens-basketball/schedule

But either way I'm getting pumped!

LOL well dang

Silly, but fine. This game should be played early, not right before conf play - will do ZERO to prepare this team for the CAA - I take greatest issue with the timing of a nonsense game like this. BUT, if it was play a game or no game for too long of a period, then I'll reluctantly accept this being what bridges the gap.

According to the D1 Docket website, the MTE at HU over Thanksgiving has the following schedule for HU: Friday, November 27th, Colgate at 3:30, Saturday, November 26th, Merrimack TBD, and Sunday, November 27th, Vermont TBD. My guess is for tripleheaders all three days.

With only four teams there can only be doubleheaders, right?

Full schedule is out! With the Island Invitational (good name!) has to be most non-conference home games I can remember. And if they're gonna schedule two non-D1 games, making them first and last games of non-conference probably the best way to do it imo.

I can picture the conversation at the other schools competing in our tournament:

"We're competing in the Island Invitational"

"What Island? Bermuda? Bahamas? Hawaii?"

"No. Long Island"

"Oh"

lol so happy they put this together, this needs to become a 'thing', should have this tournament every year - actually a pretty good group of mid majors to be honest considering the location and it's the first time

love that it adds more home games to the slate - brings more value to the home fans and season ticket holders

Molloy and St Joes are silly games to me, but I get it, and with this awesome schedule doesn't take away one bit - this is going to be a guantlet - LSU, ASU, and SMC have serious talent and are going to be super challenging road games - then a slew of high quality mids and this is a schedule that will toughen them up in a hurry - lot of opportunity to make noise - just can't let things go south and lose control, which it could with so many new faces and such tough oppoenents

Really excited to kick this season off, going to be a really fun year on the heels of an NCAAT!! Let's get our fan group together in October to start building our momentum too!

The Nov. 2 game vs. St. Joseph's Long Island is our annual "Class at the Court" exhibition for local elementary and middle school students:

I'm just going off Spence Wewe's instagram, which if you don't follow, is pretty fun, he basically goes through his day every day and talks about what he's eating and how he's training. They won, and sat in a lot of traffic on the way home, is what I got re: the scrimmage from his last video.
