I wouldn't mind seeing him in the blue and gold.

I believe one of StonyBrook's kids entered the portal as well.

He had burned us a few times if you don't pay attention to him from beyond the arc!

He also had some boards and dunks inside. He's a good player. I'm with Jojo. Wouldn't mind landing him if needed.

Speaking of which, that's another potential benefit of winning the CAA tourney. We saw last off-season, the influx of intra-conference transfers from other CAA teams to UNCW. Yes, a big part of that is UNCW had the money to bring them in. But I think another part is that players want to play for a winner. I think that's part of why all of those intra-conference transfers opted for UNCW after they won the title last year. By winning this year's CAA tournament, Hofstra, if they have the money, puts themselves in the same position - now they become an attractive destination for "free agents," especially if they can keep enough of their own top players.

Aaahhhh yes the wild wild west that is the transfer portal! Coming up, and I think this round should be a very exciting one for HU - I've long desired to see a recruiting run from Speedy & Co. with an NCAAT under their belts

We've got some key needs on the wing and in the post next season, looking forward to seeing these guys cook this season, expecting some very strong 'gets' on the heels of this new prime time energy - gonna be fun!

Just the beginning - if HU can pull off keeping this team in tact as much as possible, add in the needed pieces to support, they will be ahead of the pack and on a strong track for '27.

2 more notable CAA players in the portal, per verbal commits Shane Blakeney of Drexel and Dovydas Butka of Campbell are transferring. So already have in the portal from the CAA:

- The defensive player of the year (Machot)
- 2nd teamer and all defensive team (Blakeney)
- Two 3rd teamers (Williamson and Jeremiah Johnson)
- All rookie teamer (Xavier Abreu)

Not mention 3 other quality guards in Pratt and Kermoury from Northeastern and Justin Ray from Monmouth and the conference's 3rd leading rebounder in Butka.

Not at all surprising anymore unfortunately, and I'm sure only the tip of the iceberg for the conference.

If he leaves that is massive loss to Towson as Tyler was more than a handful in that semifinal game and nearly willed Tigers to victory.

Another big one in the CAA:

Monmouth's Jason Rivera-Torres, who will be moving on to his fourth school in as many years.

Was not serious jojo. Actually, I was surprised TT even stayed with Towson following his POY season. Wait a second, I/we are all hoping Cruz does the exact same thing..............

UNCW picked off a bunch of CAA players last year as did College of Charleston.
Never say never. Close to home for JRT and Tejada.
