Re: NCAA 2024 MBB Transfer Portal

Speaking of Dubar, he only played 4 minutes in Tennessee's 1st round win. I know he got into some early foul trouble, but can't imagine that was the kind of exposure he was hoping to get with that move. Also JC didn't make the tourney. Guess the grass may not always be greener (but the NIL is sure g...

Re: Women's Basketball 2024-25

Agreed tc - really great to see them get some wins lately - especially without arguably their two best players. Also agree that Kieta and Larsen are the unsung heroes and do all the little things well. Fargo as well including the leadership she clearly brings. Swint has done a great job keeping out ...

Re: Women's Basketball 2024-25

Yup - we made the trek out there and it was not a great game to watch. The offense just doesn’t flow as well when Sterling isn’t in. She is a good PG and a playmaker so defenses have to respect her and play her tough opening up other opportunities. Anyone else playing point doesn’t have that ability...

Oh that is interesting after she was getting eased back in the game before. Really hope she didn’t reaggravate her injury.

Re: Women's Basketball 2024-25

Yikes - I didn't see it and when I came across the final score, it didn't seem worth going back to watch. Sounds like it was over after the 1st quarter. The team has looked much better this year, so hopefully this was a blip and not the start of going backwards. Hope they can right the ship.

Re: Women's Basketball 2024-25

Ladies let one get away to UNCW. They led most of the game but fell apart in the 4th and lost in OT. Swint was 7-8 for 14 points. Kieta had 12 and Sterling and Von Essen had 11 each. Good to see Corbett who was eased back in with 13 minutes. Unfortunately her 1-4 at the line down the stretch hurt. I...

Re: Women's Basketball 2024-25

Yeah - I don’t know where that week comment was but she was in a boot last night and saw her limping at the men’s game today too - don’t anticipate her back for a bit.

Re: MBB Game 21 Campbell Jan 25 (Sat) 12 PM

Looks like this team goes as Davis goes. He did not have a good 2nd half and took two bad fouls to get knocked out of the game. Hard to see in person if those were bad calls, but no matter as a leader you cannot foul out in a close game like that especially given that there is no backup pg (kj is NO...

Re: Women's Basketball 2024-25

Agree tc - I was surprised to hear that comment in the post game too.

During the halftime interview Coach Bogia said people keep underestimating them - I’d rather go with that mentally going into the game thinking they can play with anyone in the conference.

Re: Women's Basketball 2024-25

Another win as they keep rolling and stay in 3rd place in the conference. Not having Corbett is a huge loss still, but the fact that they are winning some games without her makes you wonder how good this team could be when she is back. Was an ugly game at times - especially as they started turning t...

Re: MBB Game 19 @Drexel Jan 20 (Mon) 3 PM

Also one of the craziest plays draw I’ve seen with 6 seconds left. Could have gotten a much better look with a simple inbound and pick. Another horrendous blown game

Re: MBB Game 19 @Drexel Jan 20 (Mon) 3 PM

I just don’t understand it - confused why KJ is in and not only that, they set the final shot up for him? Completely dumbfounded.

Re: Women's Basketball 2024-25

Really strong game today especially without Corbett. I believe they led start to finish. Sterling had another good game leading the team in points while keeping one of Drexels best players in check. Swint had a double double. She and Kieta were strong on the boards - they outrebounded Drexel by 19!?...

Re: MBB Game 16 Charleston Jan 9 (Thu) 7 PM

Graham played well defensively but 8-18 in the paint hurts. Make 2-3 more and it’s a game. That said, much improved on the boards tonight. Are they ever going to reel Robinson in? Takes bad shots from anywhere (long distance 3a, off balance fade away) and ends up going 3-11. Hard to win when you add...

Re: Women's Basketball 2024-25

Great note on the press tc - was watching the game and noticed they were handling with ease (finally!) Also very happy to have something to get a little excited about. Starting conference play off 2-0 (which I don’t believe they have done since the 14/15 season if I am reading it right) and two road...

Re: Women's Basketball 2024-25

Well this was a great start to conference play for the women (and helped me forget about the men’s opener for a few hours). The last two games have been some of the best basketball I’ve seen them play over the past few seasons. Great ball movement on offense and definitely better D than we’ve seen i...

Re: MBB Game 14 William & Mary Jan. 2 (Thu) 7 PM

Nothing really to add - horrid game to watch. Thought German, Decady and TJ showed some energy and heart but they aren’t supposed to be leaned on for the heavy lifting. The rest of the team looked awful. Not sure why I watch the post game pressers - same every loss. Congratulate the opponent, find a...
