Re: Men's Lacrosse 2026
Holy cow! Not sure if anyone got the pleasure of watching our D7 men’s lacrosse team play today, but for a D7 men’s lacrosse team they didn’t do that poorly against a real D1 men’s lacrosse team as they played Towson today. They were able to score 3 goals and only gave up 20. Really not that bad at ...

Re: Men's Lacrosse 2026
A LOT of us have been talking about Amplo and getting him back to Hofstra. In all honesty, he may be the only option to try and save this embarrassment of a program.

Re: 2026 Transfer Portal
High point is clearly the top school in the Big South and they will not be there for much longer. It’s clear that they have some real aspirations for moving up. This is probably all about money for him as he’s really going down in terms of competition and play. The CAA is still way ahead of the Big ...

Re: Men's Lacrosse 2026
Just thinking out loud here, but if our talent level was actually good the coaching (in my opinion) wouldn’t really matter. It’s very clear and obvious to me that: 1.) we don’t have the talent and these kids really aren’t legit or good D1 lacrosse players 2.) The coaching isn’t able to help these ki...

Re: Coaching Carousel
Totally agree Polito. Plus, Speedy is a Hofstra Alum. I believe he still has a lot to prove and a lot that he still wants to do. Let’s get to the NCAAT’s a couple times in a row and win some games. Then, I could maybe see him leaving, but didn’t he make tons of money in the NBA already? It’s not lik...

Re: 2026 Transfer Portal
Yea seriously about Edmead. I’m thankful for what he did for us and acknowledge the fact that he led us to the tourney which was really rewarding for me and all of us diehard fans. However, the reality is that unless he puts on about 20-30LBS of muscle then he’s an average AT BEST P5 player. Sorry, ...

Re: Hofstra Men's Hoops' Amir Williams Leaving Program
We never got to see him play, so I’m not really sure about his game. Wills was actually pretty good and had a good shot. I didn’t even realize (or forgot) but he played for Wyoming before Hofstra and Wyoming made the tourney quite a few times previously so they were a good program.

Re: Men's Lacrosse 2026
During this day and age we are simply no match for these other CAA lacrosse schools especially Towson. Yesterday was probably a fluke to be honest and really nothing to get excited about. It wasn’t that long ago we’d be talking about how badly we should beat a school like fairfield. I guess it’s goo...

Re: Coaching Carousel
Agreed. We owe Campbell big time for taking out UNCW. We got lucky with both UNCW and Charleston getting knocked out. Happy we took advantage of it though

Re: Coaching Carousel
I’m really not too sure about the Groce to Charleston move either. He’s obviously done well and built Akron into a mid major power. I’ve never been to Akron, but what I see online talks about how terrible of a place it is to live, but that in itself would not be a reason to move. “I” believe the CAA...

Re: Coaching Carousel
Wow. Groce to Charleston would be wild. I would’ve never imagined groce going to Charleston in my wildest dreams. He did a great job at Ohio, didn’t do that well at Illinois, and now he’s done great at Akron. They were a 12 Seed this year which was better than Hofstra and the CAA is a better bball c...

Re: Coaching Carousel
I didn’t see anything official. “I” just see COFC hiring him as their next head coach. He’s young, near there or at least in the same region, has done well, and COFC would be a nice upgrade for him.

Siddle’s extension raises his salary to $1 MILLION
Impressive for a school the size of UNCW. Good for him.

Re: Men and women's lacrosse RPI's
WOW! There are only 77 Men’s D1 lacrosse programs and Hofstra is basically at the bottom. That is really really sad. I can’t even believe that. Having a hard time writing because I’m really in shock at how bad it got. Like I knew it was bad, but this is embarrassing

Re: NCAA Tournament Thread
It’s crazy how important football is to the schools that have football including the mid majors. Look at Delaware and how they left for CUSA. I don’t really see that being a good move for them. Look at UMASS leaving the A10 for the MAC. Not really seeing the big benefit in that either. Then you look...

Re: MBB Recruits 2026-27
I’m certainly not taking anything away from the team, but let’s be honest here. We have had some good teams and in reality since 2015 (when we started to become pretty good…I remember we beat Florida state that year and I think we lost in the CAA championship) we’ve only won the conference champions...

Re: MBB Recruits 2026-27
I don’t want high point. They’re good and they have a lot of NIL money for a school like them. We don’t need or want the CAA being any harder to win because it really is a one bid league now. I was thinking if we could get like 3-4 amazing teams in the CAA maybe we could become like the A-10 but I’m...

Re: MBB Recruits 2026-27
There you go^. I’m telling you guys. If we get to the tourney consistently we will get a lot of NIL money and will be able to compete and continue to rise. It’s great for all of our sports and our university. I’ve been told UNCW is right around 3 Mil and as Polito mentioned the middle of the pack A-...
