Congrats to Stony Brook on its CAA championship and NCAA appearance. Once again, as i have been saying for years now, what Tierney, Metzger, and Cole have done to Hofstra lacrosse is a disgrace. Worse yet they seem shameless or oblivious to it.

If the players (f/k/a as Student/Athletes) are now employees - who is the employer? Thought NIL money was paid outside of the school, from Booster Clubs, and other sources, but i am not sure.

How about the school enter into a contract with the player it offers a scholarship to stay 4 years. Might have some downside if the kid ultimately stinks, the current situation is not working.

The Hofstra exodus is very disappointing. Hard to be a fan. I continue to get season ticket offers with Edmead and Cruz shown. Seems something wrong with that.

Polito - Spot on again about hockey. No school is better situated for hockey. Twin Rinks almost in walking distance. The NCC across the street. Plenty of local rivals. Quinnipiac, Army, the upstate schools like Clarkson and St. Lawrence. It makes so much sense it will neve happen.

Dooku. I graduated in 1975. Going back that far there are wins over Florida, Virginia, and I think Ole Miss. Not to mention the two NCAA appearances in the '70's and taking UConn to OT in one and Richie Laurel dropping 35 on Notre Dame the next year if i recall correctly.
