The worst case is he's cut and not offered a 2-way or any sort of contract.

The positive is he's being paid nicely now during this "try-out" which typically leads to a solid shot at a 2-way contract for the regular season.

One of the biggest gripes on this board prior to Speedy taking over was the cupcake OOC we'd have with maybe 1 high major opponent. Painful not to have a ton of home games in OOC, but after a few seasons of finally having a super competitive OOC schedules, I'll take that trade any day.
