Hofstra vs Arkansas 12/18 Saturday

I'm not trying to steal JoJo's thunder here or look past a tough opponent today in John Jay. Just thought I would mention the fact that last night Arkansas lost to Oklahoma 88-66 giving them their first loss of the season. You think they'll come out with some purpose on Saturday. Their coach also got hit with a few technicals in that game. I'll leave the rest for John but thought this post should be put in the proper topic.

Go figure. Seems like every game we play lately an opponent is bouncing back from a blowout loss...

Will the game be streamed on any particular channel/site?

Every game at an SEC school is on TV and/or streamed, but this isn't at an SEC school, and there won't be video. December 5 through 28 is 24 days, and during that time Hofstra has or will have a disappointing loss, Division III win, game without video, and game at Monmouth.

Per their schedule, this is Arkansas's only game not televised or streamed.

If we were going to lay an egg we could have done that against someone else not our Long Island rivals. Just sucks!!

I don't like the "COLD REFERENCE" IN AK as in shooting COLD!! Hopefully not a bad omen!

Let's hope there is no more severe weather in that area for the sake of our team's safety and the people of that area who have suffered enough....

https://s3.amazonaws.com/sidearm.sites/ ... game12.pdf is Hofstra's Game Notes. Page 12 has something I haven't seen before, which has our players' "standing vertical," "jump with a step," and "wingspan." Cramer leads us in standing vertical at 34, jump with a step at 46, and wingspan at 7'2. Iyiola is in the tentative starting lineup, and I hope Cramer is okay.

https://www.sports-reference.com/cbb/sc ... /2022.html has Arkansas' statistics.

https://stats.statbroadcast.com/statmonitr/?id=367481 will have statistics.

Evan that info. re standing vertical etc. and other stats has been on go hofstra since they posted the roster which did take much too long IMO. Cramer as we already know has received summa cum laude in all his flight school classes and exercises. He's a force to be reckoned with and needs to get substantial minutes. We'll see how it all plays out. I will say though that Iyiola is looking very good of late and can help us down in the trenches when we have to play against big tough rebounding teams.

Lot of games cancelled...did the team fly out to Arkansas? (I did not abbreviate this time.) Getting dicey...half the Knicks are out. I understand Seton Hall had to forfeit a game.

That's a Big East rule, Stu. If you are unable to play, it counts as a forfeit loss.
