"Hofstra's 3-Point Threats" From The CAA Weekly Report

Post by EvanJ »

http://caasports.com/news/2014/12/29/MB ... 45437.aspx says:

"Hofstra features two of the nation's top three-point threats this season. Junior Ameen Tanksley is shooting 53.7% from beyond the arc, which ranks fifth in Division I, and he's 32nd nationally with 3.0 threes per game. Sophomore Brian Bernardi is 14th nationally with 3.3 treys per game and he's 13th in 3-point percentage (49.4%). Feeding them the ball is junior Juan'ya Green, who is 9th in Division I in assists (6.8 apg) and 13th in assist/turnover ratio."

Just like Stokes, Rivera, and Agudio, in 2005-2006, Tanksley, Green, and Bernardi are two juniors and a sophomore. Green was CAA Player of the Week. Tanksley by himself and Bernardi co-Player of the Week have already done that this season. Hofstra has had a CAA Player of the Week in four out of seven weeks.

Hofstra leads the CAA in 7 out of 19 team categories. Delaware (0), Drexel (0), College of Charleston (0), James Madison (0), William & Mary (2), Northeastern (2), and Elon (2) are seven schools that lead the CAA in 6 categories combined. UNC Wilimington and Towson lead in 3 categories each.
