We scored first but got a 1-1 draw. It is not pleasant to see the Football end zone in the goal area. It dropped us from Number 13 to Number 16 in the United Soccer Coaches' Poll. We play at St. John's tonight.

Amazing finish vs. St. John's. After a lightening delay we win 2-1 it on a penalty kick with 20 seconds to play!

That was some finish-to score after St John's equalized it was amazing!!! Does anyone know why Santi did not play?

Santi suffered a head injury in the SBU match. Announcers said there was blood on the turf. He went back in to finish the game, but maybe he needs more time to recover.

Strong defensive performance tonight as Hofstra defeated Drexel, 1-0, to remain undefeated.
Axel Ruben passed the ball from the left side of the box to Henri Poll, who headed it into the empty Drexel net for his first Hofstra goal.
Sean Keane filled in on defense for Pietro Santi, who is expected back soon, according to the announcers.

An excellent read. Thanks for posting, HUSID.
The article points out that we have players from Spain, Australia, Sweden, Ireland, Italy, France, Germany, and England plus five players from states outside of New York and six local players.
I love these quotes from our players:
M Henri Poll (from Germany):
“It’s been a great start but … there’s still a lot of things to improve. The standard has [to be] to go as far as possible in the tournament to win a championship and I think there’s still a lot of room. If we do that, then the sky’s the limit.”
G Aidan GaNun (Chaminade):
“The reason we have such a good team now and the reason we have so many top European players, local players [and players] from anywhere is because of those teams that have done so well in the past. We’re kind of built on their shoulders. Who wouldn’t want to go to a team that’s ranked No. 16 in the country? Consistently top 25 and has gone to the national tournament the last five years? So it really does help, of course.”

Also, we host 2024 national champion Vermont next Tuesday, Sept. 15, at 7 pm.

Mens Soccer is once again very exciting, this is a really fun program to support - high quality, routinely top 25 level, and solid kids representing - we have a blast at the games, should be getting to a couple end of month / start of Oct. Really impressive to see the team picking up where it left off from Nuttall.
