I was discussing this with a few of you on the board
As Polito said a lot of us bonded over this trip to the NCAA
Tournament
My suggestion here is how about we all meet up maybe once a month or every other month for dinner
I might be able to persuade some coaches and some other people from the Hofstra administration to join us
We could enjoy a leisurely dinner and bounce some ideas or each other
What do you guys think about doing this?
I will do my part to organize it. I have several restaurants in the area where I know the owners.

That would be awesome! Too bad I’m in Georgia…or else I’d be there

I would be willing to go, but now I am in Omaha. I got to meet both soccer coaches at Savoy because of you guys.

Already committed to this and think it's a great idea. Good work Stu it would be nice for everyone to meet each other that's those that haven't met as we do talk during the basketball season but should connect outside of the season.

I love the idea. If a coach comes even better but if nothing else a chance to have some fun and discuss more of this memorable experience we had as fans. Garden Social in East Meadow is one option as I often go there after games and they have a lot of space both indoors and outdoors.

I am in Alpharetta which is a suburb about an hour and 20 minutes from atlanta

I have friends in Smyrna (twisted taco) and family in Marietta and Buckhead

Stu you've got a couple of good spots in mind, let's throw out some dates here and get it scheduled - I can do weeknights or weekends, just have to plan around kids sports. Perhaps we target sone dates in April to start

Guys give me a couple of days
The best nights for me or Wednesday or Thursday evening
As of now, I can secure two restaurants, one in Merrick by the water, the other in Oakdale
I'm looking for the first week in April that we can start
Please respond and let me know which is better for you either the Merrick location or the Oakdale location. I know this might be a ride for some of you but trust me these restaurants are incredible.
Also, I know both owners and we will get a VIP treatment

Marietta and buckhead aren’t that far from me. Sounds like you’re in the restaurant business or have some affiliation with that industry?

Better chance with the Pride Club/Brand Engagement team, who would have a better idea of the inner workings and challenges/opportunities the program has anyway.

Stu for the days you provided, I am good on most Thursday nights. Wednesdays much tougher.

Thursdays also better for me as well. Merrick also better for me since I'm in Nassau but am glad to also make trip to Oakdale as well if easier for others. Perhaps we can do some kind of rotation since have peiople from both Nassau and Suffolk on the boards.

Thats what I was thinking
For those in Suffolk that have to come to Nassau. Maybe we can get a carpool together from some of you guys and vice versa for the guys that live in Nassau when we go out to Oakdale we can get a meat point in Nassau and then go out to Oakdale in one car.

For a first meet up I have two dates both Thursday nights, April 2 or April 16 at 7 PM
The restaurant will be Viva la Vida in Oakdale. You can find the address online. I know the owner and he even has a separate room. If we have a lot of people, let me know who can make it and who can't I already have contacted several people from Hofstra, including a couple of coaches and some people in administration I will let you know who confirms that they will be there, but again, let me know so I can get a headcount

I am free both nights so will reserve both dates on my calendar and wait to see what night is better for group. Thanks for organizing!

Put me down for a yes as of right now. I'm assuming the 16th will be in Nassau maybe at Mio Posto in Merrick?
