Jeff Hathaway

Post by stuball888 »

I have been meaning to post this for some time now but just got around to it now. I have been very impressed with the job Jeff has done on several fronts. First he came in a very difficult situation with the mens basketball team. The hiring of JAM has been a godsend. Also his interaction with the fans is incredible. He is very accessible and listens to suggestions. It doesnt have to be his idea for it to work. Look at the midnight madness for the mens and womens basketball. That could be the best event I have attended at Hofstra. So If you any ideas dont hesitate to call him.

You bring attention to a very important issue Stu. The university and athletic department support for the mens and womens BB teams has been phenomenal. A big part of that is the time and effort that Jeff Hathaway has invested. He deserves many thanks - Keep it up Jeff!!!!!

oh no, how can this be guys??? according to all the haters HU was demoting athletics, a lock to go D3, slashing budget and support across the board !!!!!

HAHAHAHA.... boneheads. Anyone who thought that, or came to troll and kick HU when they were going through a tough time, is ... wait for it ... it's been awhile ... but some have really 'earned' this ... here it is:

T O O L S ! ! !

Aahh...only break it out for special occasions nowadays, but man that felt great! I've said this for YEARS HU runs one of the TOP mid major athletic programs in the nation - exciting to see what's happening, the positive adjustments, and the enormous potential

(P.S. this is in no way an endorsement of the removal of football = that is still a crock of sh!t, and I believe and hope it will return one day when the time is right. But I think it's high time credit is also given where its due, and this department has earned some respect and praise in my book - Thanks Stu)

Hathaway obviously has and had nothing to do with football (and obviously you know that), so as long as you're looking at him in a vacuum, what is there to complain about? But even looking at how Hofstra is spending now (they're sending the baseball team to Hawaii!!), they are continuing to do things the right way. The school NEEDS the basketball team to make a run at some point and get the sponsor dollars in.

And most importantly, they need to add hockey!!

A boy can dream, no?? (PS it would totally work, and don't deny it!)

I never mentioned their names or others Stu, I was simply making a statement - if those 2 fellas were 2 of the hating trolls that tried to claim doom and gloom about the entire HU athletic program, that the entire dept was crumbling and slashing budget and going D3 (which was completely asinine), then so be it - those folks, whoever they were, acted like boneheads, period.

And I don't give a rip if you tell them, text them, or hire a plane and paint it in the sky

me speaks the truth.

HU athletics are alive, well, and FLOURISHING

and as I've stated, my disdain for the removal of football is likely just the same as theirs - no excuses for that, it was BS. But that doesn't mean the entire world of HU athletics is terrible or imploding - actually, to the haters surprise (which is why they've completely disappeared if you've noticed), it's the exact opposite: HU athletics are rising once again. And the folks responsible deserve some kudos - can't be all one way - if you blame them for bad, you have to give credit for good.

ROLL PRIDE 8-)

Easy polito it was many years ago and they both got a big kick over it . They were not hostile to you and know you are a true Hofstra fan . Now take a deep breath and relax. All is well with Hofstra sports now

Hathaway has been fantastic. The program has a much more professional feel since he's started, and the positive results are beginning to on the fields and the court. You have to give the AD a significant amount of credit for having a plan to put the program on an upswing
