Flying Dutchmen Fans

We are going to have a very young team this year. No seniors will be starting and I believe only one junior. They will be sophs and freshmen. Consider this to be a rebuilding year.

Congrats to coach Papadapas on his first win as Hofstra wrestling coach. Team was down 16-9 win only 2 matches left. A decision was only 3 points each so we need some major victories for the win. The next to last match Jamael Hudson a soph gave us the shot we need with a tech fall 21-6 over his opponent. That gave us 5 points and made the score 16-14. Cody Ruggerillo sealed the deal with a 4-2 decision. Gutsy win for this very young team.

The Best of Brand thing doesn't know that if there are two Numbers 21s, the next number should be 23, not 22.

We're not ranked, unfortunately. Best of Brand is how a team markets/presents itself using different marketing initiatives (however we are number 16 in that, which is still good because that means we're doing very well with publicity for the program). http://www.nwcaonline.com/nwcawebsite/b ... n-rankings

They take on Binghamton Friday night at the. New York Athletic Club. Weird venue to pick, especially with a dress code for a wrestling match...

Hofstra was supposed to host Virginia Tech tomorrow, but the match was cancelled due to the weather in Virginia, which means now the seniors don't get their senior day festivities.

PoP only senior on the squad is Nick Tedric who is a redshirt senior. I am sure the school will do something nice for him.
