Actually that is last place
Drexel dropped their baseball team about 15 years ago because they were not competitive in the Caa
They came in last every year
Similar to our golf teams

Hey guys if you have not seen it the walkoff homerun is on Hofstra twitter.
This team could be the surprise of the CAA this year.

Just trying to keep the baseball program relevant here we win 2/3 vs Elon to open CAA play. We're now 10-8 and it's the first opening series we have won in The CAA since 2010. New coach and new goals. Lets keep this rolling.

Baseball has been a pleasant surprise
John Russo did not leave an empty cubbard
Coach Catalanato being an ex major league pitcher has helped with this pitching staff
They are pounding or at least trying to pound the strike zone
Hitting has been solid and while we have not been running as much we are getting timely hitting

Coach Cat played LF, 2B,1B, and DH for Detroit, Texas, Toronto, Milwaukee, and the Mets from 1997 t0 2010. He finished with a .291 batting average for 14 seasons in MLB. All the stats are on Baseball Reference.

While we are praising the softball teams success our baseball team is having a solid year. We are 18-15 overall and 9-5 in conference. we are in third place and Charleston in first at 13-2 lost its two games to Hofstra.

Have to agree cool to see - and I never really thought HU should bother much with this sport… bit of a waste in the northeast IMO - but NY being such a baseball region it would be great if this program could be something

This coaching staff led by former major leaguer Catalans really Impresses. Love the way they play; smart and aggressive…taking it to our opponents.

We open with an 18-7 win over W&M yesterday
We beat up on their number 3 starter and their bullpen
Now we face probably the best tandem staters in the CAA
Who are #5 and #6 in ERA
Split these next 2 games and we secure our spit in the CAA tournament with a decent seed
We are the only team to beat Charleston in the CAA
We have done that twice

Yesterday we're in the bottom of the 9th about to lose to Iona who had only won three games all year when Jake Liberatore a transfer from Iona hits a walk off 3 run home run. WE win 6-4. That would have been an ugly loss.

Yes their starter has an 18 era coming in and keeps us scoreless for the 3 innings he pitched
Team woke up from their sleepwalking in the last two innings
