If we add other sports to this, definitely Steven DeNapoili for men's lacrosse and Christine Arnone for women's soccer, who were both walk-ons and went on to become All-CAA players while leading programs to NCAAs.

Nice topic!
How about Charles Jenkins...didn't flee the floundering ship and carried a depleted team on his back?
How about the late Zeke Upshaw who boarded the Titanic after it hit the iceberg?

Nobody more deserving then JWF. aN INCREDIBLE SHOOTER who could dunk with the best of them. Left it on the court most of the time.

6-2 185 combo guard
I believe he played for Jay Wright during Jay's first two years at Hofstra

If I remember correctly, in a big game (Holiday Festival maybe?), he wasn't feeling great. Came out of the game, threw up and went right back in to finish the game.

Can anybody verify that I am remembering the correct player? If so, that is the definition of playing with heart.

Pat Kammerer, may he Rest In Peace was a warrior who banged with the best down low for Hofstra’s first two NCAA teams. At 6-8 he could barely dunk but he knew how to box our and use his elbows for some intense hits!

Kenny Rood chime in here.

Radziejewski was the first who came to mind when I saw the topic, but I think Stu nailed the initial list otherwise as well.

If we can add coaches, I'd list Mihalich.

I know he didn't play too long at Hofstra and had a season cut short with a terrible injury, but Malik Nichols would have been a candidate. He was a hustle guy who did some of the little thing.

Absolutely, and good call. Great sixth man when healthy. Will always believe they'd have won the CAA championship game over UNCW if he were healthy for that tourney in 2016.

Maybe Aurimas Kieza too? I thought he hustled and he hit some clutch shots, not shying away from big moments at times.

And I thought Moussa Kone hustled and battled.

Darius Burton also gave 100% every time on the floor.

Fun topic, Stu.
