The first of three tough CAA contests. Glad we are playing at home. SNY will carry this one:

I am going to the game. Making the trek out there to criticize in person.

Do I need a physical vax card? Or does a picture work from my mobile device? I cant get the excelsior pass because I live in NJ.

Great to see you bringing a group from out of state for this game. I know of a few of my friends coming to this game also; so hopefully we can be loud and help the team out.

ESPN's matchup predictor gives us a 60.6 % chance of winning.

We need this win for a lot of reasons but for sure to show that we're one of the teams to beat in this conference along with UNCW. UNCW we'll take care of soon also.

Agreed, these next three games at home are vital for us to set us up as a legitimate contender to the CAA title...time to SHOW UP BOYS...no EXCUSES as I believe we are healthy for the first time this season and at HOME!

Looking at Sagarin, we should be a 2 point FAV vs Towson...

I don't put too much weight on these imagine we were 4.5 point favorites against an undefeated team UNCW on the road and lose. On a given day anything can happen in sports. We know we have to protect our home court and we can say we're undefeated also, at home that's.

3.5 point favorites O/U 143.5. This will be a different game I'm sure they won't be raining 3's on us and hopefully Jay Ray has a better game. He scored 7, D Stone scored 3 and fouled out no Cooks and no Simmons. We're in a far better place in this game.

Third MTO at 8:02 with Towson leading 23-21 and on a 10-0 run.

Very streaky shooting over Hofstra's first 16 shots:
Made 3, missed 4, made 5, missed 4.

Towson takes a 33-25 lead, Tigers on a 20-4 run, going from eight down to eight up.

Towson has made 12 of its last 13 shots.
Hofstra has missed 8 of its last 9 shots.

Hofstra hasn't learned much from Towson making a school-record-tying 16 3s against the Pride in the teams' first meeting last month. The Tigers are halfway there again, going 8/11 from 3 to lead, 43-33, at halftime tonight. Timberlake 4/4 from 3 tonight. Too much room on D. Have to get up on shooters, especially on a guy like Timberlake, who they know won't drive - that's his game, he shoots. Reaching and not getting there isn't good defense. Being in the right spot and getting up on him so you can close out effectively is. But whatever they watched on film from the first meeting has not translated to tonight.

Towson is 24/45 (53.3%) from 3 in three halves against Hofstra this season.

First time, long time as it goes. Started going to games as a little kid at the Physical Fitness Center and been a fan ever since. Watched just about every game this year, and fully believe in Speedy and this staff long term, but they are failing the team right now...

Zero adjustments on D from the last time they played Towson. How many times are they gonna watch the guards (esp. Burgess tonight) help off Timberlake to double Towson's bigs that aren't good enough to need to be doubled?! Also the "defensive" starting lineup has run its course, Ray and Cooks just don't get in any rhythm coming off the bench.

Their entire season comes down to how they respond in these next 20 min. If we're supposed to take them seriously as a CAA title contender they need to win this game AND UNCW on Monday.

Back in it. Tied 45-45. Estrada: a jumper in between two 3s to key a 12-2 run to start the 2nd half.

Very disappointing effort on a number of fronts…no energy to start the game, no crowd, horrible, no shooting and ZERO defense..This team prides itself on defense? Not happening!

We are at best the four seed…hopefully we don’t slip under that.
