Hey guys, I'm a writer for the Chronicle, wondering if you would like me to post any info on the lacrosse team I have here. I'll post articles and so forth unless you want me to stop. Questions, comments and criticism are all appreciated. Thanks!

Sean Williams

Here is my preview for the upcoming season: http://thehofstrachronicle.com/pride-pr ... mpionship/

I dig the write up, welcome, and keep it coming pls!

You'll find that I have lost my patience with ST and this lax program - I want to see results - agree with you, the schedule has been, and is, very weak, no excuses there

I don't agree with Linares (I think) about these being some of the best teams HU has had - the top 10-15 teams I used to watch late 90's ish were fantastic, and beating the likes of UNC, Duke, Notre Dame, and Hopkins rather than worrying about SJU, Manhattan, and Marist

very glad, and excited, to see this year shaping up to be a great one, but the proof is in the pudding - losing to teams like Marquette is completely unacceptable for a once power program - no passes - I want to see conf championships and NCAA berths.

I wonder if the NCAA could give that Hopkins player a 1 game suspension. Cheap shot after the final whistle. yellow flag dropped but player not punished. What if he injured the Towson player?

6-4 Hofstra lead at halftime. They seem to be in control for most of it, but still a close game.

On the plus side, this season is the last one they'll get to wear those horrific white on white jerseys.

We came out ready to play, and had a 4-0 lead in the 1st quarter, and now with 2:45 left in the game, it's tied 10-10. The amount of time the announcers have had to say that we've had a defensive lapse is unacceptable.

And now we're down 1…We've been outscored 4-1 in the 4th quarter, and we look lost and deflated out there.

This is typical of a Seth Tierney coached team. You can count on a 4th quarter collapse. What are the excuses this year? Another loss to an unranked team. Does this team have any conditioning.

What a joke this team is. Glad I didn't brave the cold to go see that shit show. You would've thought the team learned after what happened last year, but apparently not.

ABSOLUTELY DISGRACEFUL

Losing to this startup was pitiful last yr, but to repeat a loss the following year is completely unacceptable for this program

THIS is one of the best HU teams in yrs?????? Horsesh!t

I'm sorry folks but there needs to be uproar now - this CANNOT continue - no more excuses - ST MUST GO.

I am too lazy to look this up but can someone tell me Seths record when leading after 3 quarters. Also how does this compare to others coaches.

I just went through it and since Tierney took over in 2007 Hofstra has lost 15 games when leading after 3 quarters with the brunt coming since 2012. In his first five seasons from 2007 to 2011, Hofstra lost 5 games when leading after 3 but since 2012 have lost 10. 2012 was the first season without Joe Amplo leading defense so perhaps that is part of the problem, but either way a very troubling pattern that needs to be rectified.

Yep, and it can be rectified with an improved coaching staff.

That is too bad since this was going to be only Hofstra game on national TV this season. It is terrible how CAA hasn't pushed NBC Sports Network to air some games or at least the conference championship.
