Next clue : 3 US presidents were awarded degrees by this school.
Prob Columbia if anyone wants the tickets!
That is what I guesses. Would be cool if we hosted them as they haven't come here since December 2004.
At Columbia. 12/8

They are finding some really good OOC games this year.

LOVE the ASU game, big P4 road match!! Very good OOC thus far coming off an NCAAT. This team will be challenged and will have opportunity to make a name if they can show out.
I can't stand playing Columbia, we need to take a break. We constantly lose this stupid game against a very mediocre program that has zero cache - play Harvard, Yale, Princeton - those are the only Ivy's we need to concern with. Beating Columbia does nothing and losing to them is annoying. And why on earth are we playing at their place?? Make them come to us for goodness sake, seriously, they have zero clout.
I still feel like we need 2 more real games - there should be 0 games against non-D1 programs - that has to stop - we don't need to keep playing Molloy - those should be scrimmages. Let's get an ACC and/or an A10 program on the schedule to round this out.

I couldn't agree more especially about playing them on their court. We played them their last year so why in the world would we be playing on the road back to back years this makes no sense. It must be the BIG BUCKS they are going to pay us to play there!! Lol

I like it since a local team and easy for me to see them after work in city. I do wish was at our place though and hopefully will next year.

I would hope its a two year deal and Columbia will return a home game for us.
Didn't they cancel a game with us at Hofstra because their bus got stuck in traffic?????

If I'm reading it correctly, Colombia's MBB last in the NCAAT in 1968? Talk about a dry spell!

In 2004/05 season their bus got stuck in major traffic jam so game was postponed and made up in late December. Pecora and then Columbia head coach Joe Jones went on old ESPN2 morning show Cold Pizza to talk about it.

Zero interest in the game. It's a lose-lose for HU. BUT, it's local and absolutely better than playing a D2, so I can certainly deal.

And a little NYC exposure can't hurt - albeit "a little"

Next clue:
Woody Souffrant led the team in scoring in the first ever matchup between these two teams.
I think this might be Quinnipiac, if anyone wants to guess it for the tickets. Would be great if a home game and a Parrotta welcome back.

HU at Quinnipiac, Saturday, December 12th. The total number of games allowed by the NCAA is 32. So, there are only 2 more possible games to be announced. There are 18 CAA league games and 12 OCC counting the yet to be announced MTE at HU Thanksgiving Weekend. If you count a D3 early tip off game for the school trip students, that leaves just one possible game remaining.

The MTE counts as one game.
I’m guessing we add a D2 game in Late December to prepare for our league schedule.

This is always a good game, no issue with QU - they play scrappy ball and typically give us a very tough game, back and forth. Solid low conf mid. And makes sense of course with yet another HU coach moving over there.
And in no way should we be adding a D2 or D3 - let the top 25 teams do that to balance their brutal schedules - that does zip to prepare us for the CAA. They can play those teams in scrimmages, not in the middle of an OOC season. This program should have a full D1 schedule, that's what prepares a mid major team to become a champion.
Only exception I'd make is for it to literally be game 1, OR a TOP D2/3, like national champion level.
Otherwise, there are dozens of solid options in this region, grab 1 more and let's rock.

ASU game was a super add - that's a road game worth doing !
I definitely like the Prime development with Flo - sounds like if I'm understanding right that select games will be 'free' via Prime - there are still other events not shown on Prime that need the Flo subscription...?
