So the last basketball tournament winding down credit to the bonnies making it to the semi-final game vs Xavier but unfortunately losing last night 84-77. Texas A&M beat Washington State in the other game 72-56 so finally the NIT final is set.

Great finish in the NIT championship game tonight. Xavier, down eight at halftime, won, 73-72, on an off-balance, one-handed, 10-footer in the lane that banked in with :03.1 left. A desperation, running 3 from Texas A&M was in and out at the final buzzer.

Maybe Xavier should have just kept Jonas Hayes, the interim coach who led Xavier to an NIT title, instead of Hayes unfortunately losing his job after that to make room for Sean Miller's return?

After that game on ESPN, Grand Canyon's Sean Miller-Moore ironically competed in a slam dunk contest on ESPN.

NIT was great, caught a couple of the games. Still a great alternate tourney to the big dance.

CBI? lol.

Didn't know who was in it, didn't know the W won except from you guys, and could not care less. Neither can anyone else in the NCAA hoops community. This will not do anything for the W. They already have solid recruiting due to a strong staff and some mid major pedigree, and as good of a shot as anyone to win the CAA next year. This will not move that dial at all.

And I have zero desire for HU to participate - HU has a history of not treating things seriously, of being unable to get their players to buy in and play all out, they would likely lose game 1 to some no name. And we all know that's true.

What I'd like to see is this HU staff completely change that about this program. So far based on this season, fail. They need to focus on being better, down to the last man.
