I have not heard any more about who is leaving...anyone else?? It has got to be either Gonzales, Walker, or Robinson....If one of these 3 hope it is Robinson....Rokas is our only true post up player...Djambo once in a while and same goes for Koon...both these guys are on the thin side...wish we had one more legit post up guy to back up Rokas for next season

Polito, you know he can't do that because of various NCAA rules among other competitive reasons and to safeguard the kids info as well.

By the way I sent coach a congratulatory email and he replied with thks and says he is livin the dream.

Interesting little piece about Koon back when his destination was up in the air... I didn't realize some of the programs he was involved with - may be a bigger grab than I'm giving credit for...and REALLY hoping that's the case - just a little concerned about the injuries - this take seems to speak to that, the injuries are a red flag, but the dude can play, there's no question when this guy is healthy he can make an impact

IF, *IF*, he is ready to rock, he could be a huge lift to this team, to the post production, and help them get over the hump in the CAA

Polito I agree he will be a big asset but as more of a SF player. The article you cite even says it. "But despite being 6’8″, the forward isn’t a post up, back-to-the-basket kind of guy. The most rebounds he’s ever averaged in a season has been 3.5."

That Koon isn't a true big is slightly concerning as I've heard the same kind of thing about Djambo.

Know what you mean, although in JM's system that's prob what works best - def a lot of positives with an athletic 6'8 guy who's not a rail that can run the floor and handle the ball when it comes to him

Add on to that great character, which STILL is a top priority with this program, and will/should be for quite some time...

that said, it's up to Gustys to be the main load in the paint this year, with Walker adding defensive prowess

Lets hope Walker is staying Polito....Rokas has potential to be an all conference player by jr & sr years

In this system it would be great if a big had hands who can catch the passes from Green.

Walker will still be with the program IMO

Jon Rothstein reporting that UConn transfer Terrence Samuel is visiting Hofstra this weekend. Defense-oriented point guard who will have to sit out but after that he'll have two years of eligibility.

So between Terrance Samuel and Khalil Dukes it looks like the final scholly isgoing to another point. Perhaps Gonzalez will leave.

He had better be a great defender and ball handler/passer......played 20 min per game last year areraging 3 PPG. Had no 3-pointers all season. Obviously not a shooter.

He played 20 minutes per game at a high major...he can play for us and play well.

Samuel would be a great pick-up! He was a 3* on ESPN and had notable offers from Fred Hoilberg at Iowa State as well as URI. More importantly, he played major minutes on a high major team that won 20 games. He's 6'4'', 200 lbs. and defensively focused... Sounds like just what the doctor ordered. Really hope we close this guy this weekend!
