Good find Jojo looks like a work project for the Guardfather for sure and a kid who probably won't be looking for greener pastures right away.

Did not see any outside shot but see that he drives to the hoop looks like a slasher but still he's the 15th man on the roster so he's a true freshman and he has time to develop

Interesting 2027 Roster.
(a bit of speculation here)
Only 1 returning player in our Top 10 - Decady
3 7'0" footers - with experience
2 players (class) listed as 6th (year)
Looks like a few athletic - players have been added (Onwughai; Blaske; Jefferson; Gelin; Thomas)
Almost half the roster from the Tri-State area-ish; and 5 foreign players
Guessing we start one of the 7'0" footers; Decady; Thomas; Taverez; Moore
Bench another of the 7'0" footers; Onwughai; Blaske; Jefferson; Gelin
Let the Games Begin

Obviously late in the game, and despite being an intriguing get, was hoping they could find another guy to play the 4 - felt that Patterson and DeCady at that spot last year balanced the team out better than in the past. DeCady should play a lot but expecting to see plenty of 4 guard sets like in previous years (with Thomas/Gelin/Blake/Onwughai as the wings). Not as good of a shooting team as last year so this could help open up more opportunities to drive to the basket.

You are all forgetting I guess because of out of sight out of mind scenario but Carlos Lopez (if healthy) will get substantial minutes and play a vital role on this team! He was poised to do that last year and Speedy said that himself. Edmeade would have had less minutes if Lopez didn't get injured.

Moore is the veteran but they seem high on Lopez and Trey Boyd as well.

They've seen Lopez practice for two years and he had big games as a freshman they know what his upside could be. Trey Boyd is an unknown quantity as far as most of us fans are concerned because most of us haven't seen him play. There is always a player or two who will emerge as an X factor. Who could that be this year?

Lopez has been my 'future star' for 2 years lol I'm really hoping he's finally able to showcase what he's all about! IMO he's got 1st team ability, but he has much to prove in real life. Eager to see him get on the floor, and give him credit for fighting through - quite certain he's just as itching to play as we are to see him out there.
I'm pretty excited about this late signing, first he's a wing, second he has great measurables for the 3 or 4, and he comes from a tremendous program. Now this isn't the main Oak Hill team, it's the Int'l version, but it is a quality and competitive league - what's great is it is designed specifically for international players and to help them transition to US ball by developing them to this more physical game. This means he will receive strong coaching to build his foundation and ideally Speedy won't have to. This isn't a starting piece day 1, but he will bring a serviceable backup role and does have potential for more down the road.
I think our centers will be a big strength this year - we have 3 legit guys who could each be the starter. DeCady and Thomas are set up for big years, and we have a potentially solid PG to run the show. Add in star power of Lopez and 3 bombs from Trey, and we may have something.
Course this is all make believe in my head until we see how reality takes shape lol - but this team does have size and talent, the potential is there.

Agree with all prior points-- lots of excitement for this group on paper and KUDOS to speedy and staff.
Only pessimist take is that we don't have a returning go-to guy. I'm a big Decady fan, but wouldn't call him the guy who will be clearly stepping in as our next Cruz/Tyler Thomas/etc.
We usually get off to better starts and have better seasons when we return someone who was a legitimate contributor in the system the season prior...
It gives me some 2020/2021 vibes when we didn't return much (jalen ray?) and brought it a bunch of new talent... it just takes time for teams to gel and having an immediate leader (Cruz/Estrada/Buie) always helps when possible.
Another example is 2 years ago when Cruz/Jean/Jaquan came in...
I'm optimistic and love the group! I just will be interested to see who steps up as our alpha/go-to and how long it takes for that to work itself out.

Hu87 all very valid points particularly the lack of a returning go to guy.
However in the new landscape how many teams particularly in the ravaged CAA, have such a player?
This is all about creating a new team and the coaching required to make it happen.
I kind of like the talent assembled and the coaching we have.
Psyched to see it on the floor.
