It seems like after a nice play by Sunday he'll make two gaffes! IDK if FSU pressed Florida but after watching the beginning of that game they weren't pressing. Just saying.
Agree teiplec, they pressed us all game and we did not respond well....felt we played them tough otherwise. I think we even ourtrebounded them, at least in the first half.

Another encouraging sign was us going to the basket, obviously against a much taller oppoent.

Like this team's grit and willingness to mix it up inside...theink we're going to be OK AFTER HOUSTON!
Agree, they don't back down and I think they'll be okay after Houston. I thought they competed and were simply overmatched by a team with more size and length, which affected their offense. FSU's length was disrupting HU's passing. I still think they settle too much from 3 instead of looking for other options, something that goes back years, regardless of the coach and the roster (which is also just part of today's game in general, so it's not just them). But recognize what's working - 16/26 from 2, 8/24 from 3 last night. 33% isn't terrible but it's not lighting it up either to the point they should be taking about half their shots in the game (24 of 50) from 3 when they're efficient (61.5%) from inside the arc, especially in the paint.

For most of the game, they made Florida State earn their points. The offense will be there against opponents at their own level (see the 90 pts vs. Iona), but defense has to be a constant from the start against anyone, and I think it mainly has been, including last night, and that's encouraging going forward.

I'm not sure what was breaking down but FSU had a lot of very open looks at the three. Initially they weren't shooting well and came into this game not shooting beyond the perimeter well. But we kept giving them wide open looks and the law of averages caught up with us.

One more point. Thought we came out very tentative early in the game...poor passing, poor shots...we got better as the game went on but their press wore us down in the end.

Was hoping for less than a ten point game...oh well!
