We can't rebound down the stretch, gotta get Coburn back in there.

Yes, lol. Safe to say it's an up and down night... or is that Knight.

What a history between these two. Amazing rivalry. And people want to leave this conference? Look at this game. Look at the last game, against Northeastern. Right where Hofstra belongs.

Another huge offensive board for Taylor, who then makes the nice pass out of the post to JWF, who then drives for the left-handed floater.

82-79, Hofstra.

:28.9 left in in the 2nd OT.

Knight 3 point play, tie game. We are playing so stupidly and getting punished for it.

nice HU W - nothing comes easy when we play W&M - start the bus and get the F out of there

* JT - big fan of his - didnt play his best game tonight ** DD - know all his limitations - didn't kill us tonight, did some of those little things - hate the way JAM uses the bench - NEED to give some minutes to save some guys
* JR - nice game tonight
* going to need more from TC - then what we've gotten the last 2 games - he is a key apart of this team
* love the W&M production tonight- but they are funny FUNNY home team rooters - like them but funny

I guess the positive is that we won on the road. That being said, we did not play well as a team in the second half and teh OTs. First half we moved the ball well, but after that?????
Too many 3 pt shots, especially when everyone except JR was off.

Oh well, to have an "off" night and keep the streak going is pretty cool :)

And while all this is going on Drexel drops CoC

Hopefully no one played a drinking game where you had to take a shot every time they said, "gotta get a stop here"

Glad to see they pulled it out but Joe coached teams never can put a team away end of games. This is what they need to improve on to win in March.

Pemberton at the line ??

11 straight, JWF's buzzer beater over NU, gutting this one out in 3 OTs tonight. Really feels like something special is brewing.

You have a streak like this and win these kinds of games when you have a special year. LONG way to go, and we'll see, but when you don't have a special year, you find ways to lose these kinds of games (as we've seen in past years). So many times this team could have folded tonight and they never did. Lot of mistakes, bad to blow the 14-pt lead, but what a gutty win this was. Let's get to a dozen at Elon!

p.s. does JWF ever get tired? He has played every second of the 95 minutes Hofstra has played over the past two games. Sixth time this year he's played every second, now including one OT in one game and 3 OTs in another.

p.s.s Drexel won, 79-78, at Charleston tonight. They lead Delaware (4-1) by a half-game, but already lead both of the other two who we think will be the favorites (NU and Charleston) along with Hofstra by two games each.

Haha exactly my thoughts!!

Great win, the OT's were a war, Knight was a beast!

We had a bad stretch to start the second half, probably should have finished it in regulation, but we played well in OT. Proud of the guys for gutting it out!

Was not one of Justin's Best games, esp from three, but when it counted he made the plays. Only guys on the floor not afraid at the end of the game were JWF, Ray, Taylor and Buie...Pemberton shrunk in the moment, passed up shots and those AWEFUL FREE THROWS AT THE END....Nevertheless a huge gut check win on the road against an opponent that refuses to lose or give us respect...Can't wait to see them in Hempstead.

Hope we have enough for Elon in less than 48 hours.

I hope the last two games isn't the start of a trend. I can't take 5 OTs at Elon.

We won because points off turnovers were 33 to 12.

JWF became the second player since 2010-2011 to have at least 37 points, at least 12 missed threes, at least 7 free throws made, and at least 7 turnovers. The previous players Oklahoma's Trae Young in an 83-81 loss in overtime at Oklahoma State on January 20, 2018.

Now we go to Elon, who did something similar to William & Mary. Northeastern took their larges lead at 47-31 with 17:52 left. Elon took their first lead with 2:58 left. It went overtime tied at 63 before Northeastern won 81-70.

Troy Harper made 3 free throws with 1 second left to give Drexel a 79-78 win at Charleston. Drexel led for only 3:05 and was down 13 with 15:58 left.

Edit: 8 of our last 11 overtime games have been against Virginia teams. That is 3 against JMU, 3 against W&M, 1 at VCU, and 1 at Richmond. We have not played an overtime game against Delaware or Towson since we joined the CAA.

I bet JWF was never in Cliff Claven's kitchen, either.

This League is crazy! Who would have thought Charleston and NE would have two losses this early and Delaware, whom we obliterated, is in second.

Appropriate joke since there were many times tonight's game was in... "Jeopardy."
