Cactus basketball is a winter spurt. Expect it to be announced. Around the end of August beginning of September. I am sure some of the dates and times still need to be worked out

Sure but they had scheduled a release of the OOC schedule over a month ago.

Conference schedule believe it or not can be more complex due to travel Our conference has a pretty big footprint for a mid major

I've heard we are also playing at Columbia...think this is the cause of the holdup, working on a date.

William & Mary was picked second in CAA by College Sports Madness. Northeastern is clear favorite, but after that is wide open.

They have us ranked 93rd and THIRD in the CAA

According to the Mount St. Mary's website, MSM at HU, Friday, November 9th. According to Maryland's website, HU at UM, Friday, November 16th. These should be the dates we are aware of: Friday, November 9th Mount St. Mary's Sunday, November 11th at Marshall Friday, November 16th at Maryland Wednesday, November 28th Siena Wednesday, December 5th, Monmouth Wednesday, December 19th at Stony Brook. The dates for NC A&T, Manhattan, and Columbia are not yet announced. I do not think there are any other dates that I might have missed.

and Charleston would be 4 in a very top heavy league, although I would not be surprised by anyone in the top 4 winning the league.

My ranking would be:
Northeastern
Hofstra
Charleston
W&M
UNCW
Elon
JMU
Drexel
Towson
Delaware

I agree that NE is the team to beat since they bring back everyone that matters to a strong team that plays defense. I don't see W&M being the #2 team in this conference especially after losing Burchfield who was a 3 point machine and Cohn a respectable PG who could score. I agree with you Cactus that either HU or CoC should be ranked ahead of W&M not sure how far COC will drop after losing Chealey but it probably is a bigger loss for them then us losing ROK. Clearly both losses are big for both schools. After UNCW I really don't have a clue as to what the pecking order should be. If Taylor is the post player that everyone feels he can be we will be a tough team to beat.

Solid game to add to the schedule. Hopefully it's a home and home series.

Depending on the results from the day before that, VCU could play St. John's in Brooklyn the game before Hofstra. VCU hosts teams including Charleston and two MAAC teams, Iona and Rider. VCU's 13 out of conference games include only 2 trips outside Virginia, to Brooklyn and to Texas. A VCU fan said they had enough money to fly to Hofstra while in the CAA.

That makes sense - last year we did the Jersey shuffle to Monmouth and Rider. This year they come to HU.

Marshall away
Maryland away
Mount St Mary's home
NC A&T home
Stony Brook away
Monmouth home
Sienna home

7 games and likely add Molloy scrimmage

Should be 4-5 more games coming. Hope we add a few more tough games. Other than the terps, this is not a tough schedule.
Anyone hear anything?? I thought we would eventually add some northeast or midAtlantic teams once in a while (A10, or Rutgers, UConn, Syracuse, Penn St, Seton Hall, St Johns, Georgetown, or even a Bucknell or LaSalle (isn't that JM alma?)

So we have added:
VCU away
Columbia home
Rider home

So that 10 games plus a scrimmage (maybe molloy). Did someone say we are also playing Manhattan? Probably still need one more game (even with a Jaspers game).
