Yeah at this point I would be really happy to just read something anywhere that says "such and such quality player says Hofstra is recruiting him the hardest"

I'm seeing TONS of great talent becoming available every day and all kinds of schools going hard after them but I see NOTHING about HU being one

Not saying they aren't but man it sure would be nice to see SOMETHING that makes ya feel good as a fan lol

It appears as though that is Hofstra's philosophy regarding recruiting...run silent and run deep...we know they are working hard...just a matter of time....And yes I agree that its somewhat disquieting to read about everything else that is happening...looks like St John's for example issues hourly bulletins!!!!!

I just saw something that says Hofstra lands Princeton transfer Denton Koon. Anybody else heard this?

Jon Rothstein tweeted it

This may be what was being referred to.

just saw it posted in "verbal commits".

Looks like a nice addition. 6"8" forward can shoot the midrange shot as well as an occasional 3. Obviously experienced (will be a one and done guy) and should have a positive impact on the team.

So in addition to Gustys, Walker, Djambo, we add Koon. i like our height and our mix of experience. We should never have less than two 6'8" guys (or bigger) on the court at all times.

Concerns........he is coming off missing a season due to knee injury (I assume JM has checked out his health). This will give us 5 key guys leaving after the upcoming season (Green, Nichols, Tanksley, Djambo, and Koon). That is alot to replace next year! Hopefully an NCAA appearance this year helps our recruiting.

Of what I can find, looks like a good get.

Has size (6'8") and shot over 50% inside the arc during his best year at Princeton (his sophomore season - which he averaged over 10 points a game). He also shot 43% from 3 and 80% at the line that same season.

Has had a few knee injuries since which is a concern (missed some of his junior year and most of his senior year), but looks like he can contribute if he can stay healthy.

This get adds depth and size which you can NEVER have enough of. Looks like JAM wants to get an NCAA berth for his two Niagara guys...And why not!

Great get! System guy who fits that 6'4''-6'8'' stretch forward mold that we need! Yes, the injuries are a concern. However, with the upcoming year being such an important one for this program, this seems like a very safe, high reward type gamble. We need depth and this guy gives us some dangerous flexibility if healthy. Great job JAM!

He graduated so he won't have to sit out a year. Great get, just worried about loaded 2016 graduating class now. Development of Buie, JWF, and Rokas/Walker are going to be key. As will this upcoming 2016 recruiting class. A little worried 2016-2017 will be a step backwards but Koon fills a great need for 2015-2016. Big who can shoot, allows Nichols to be an energy/defense guy off the bench again where he thrived last season. I say go out and get another wing with a good jump shot and this team looks good to go.

A concern for all. I hope we had our own doctors check him out not just going by his docs.

Does not have to play 30 plus minutes. give us 15-20 a game depending how well he is playing.

Very excited about this addition. Koon can be a great asset, if only for one season.

I do have concerns about his health, but trusting the staff - sure they wouldn't waste the scholly - if truly healthy he has ability and can be a huge help
