We need to have a legit 4 - As previously posted I'm tired of watching opposition playing volleyball at our expense - also with legit size we can try some man D - at least as a changeup. We don't have enough size/length to play 2-3

Assuming JT is not playing next year, and one of our younger guys will be transferring, I wonder if there is any thought of HH being a backup at the 5. Because he can shoot the three, we are all hoping he is developing into someone who can provide meaningful minutes at the 4, but he is a pretty big guy and maybe could provide minutes at the 5. He is listed in verbal commits at 201 lbs, listed on the team roster as 210 lbs, but looking at the guy during warmups (especially towards the end of the season) he certainly looks heavier than 210. If next season he is playing at 220-225 and 6'10", he certainly would have enough size to "spell" IK - heck, he would be much bigger than DD as a backup. I would love to have a guy with this size play the 4 - if he is capable, but if he is not, a backup at the 5 who can step out and shoot the three is not a bad thing.

HUSID - Have you ever heard of anyone (coaches) talking about this possibility?

We have all heard that HH can shoot and I have heard he is a pretty good athlete for a big guy [he won't trip over the foul line]. If he is working hard on his overall game and getting stronger we could have a real sleeper on our hands...

We're all about sleepers here but with his size could he actually get minutes at the 4 and 5? That would be a big stretch and watching him in practice he just looks too thin. We may very well be surprised at Schutte's role this year. I know I'm playing the Devils Advocate here but he may get some minutes and show he deserves them. I saw that this JUCO transfer has committed to Eastern Michigan. Yeikson Montero 6'5" SG. Does anyone know whether we recruited him diligently??

This kid never did pan out even though in his freshman year Speedy thought he would be an impact player. Well it free's up another scholarship.

I figured he was a top candidate for a transfer -
Wonder if he is considered a red-shirt - when transferring - kid played 35 minutes the entire 2018-19 season...JFW played more in a half (kidding) -
Good luck to him

Honestly hoping there's one more...but maybe just this 1, we'll see.

I believe Radovic was mishandled from the get go. Now he may have still needed to ultimately move on, but there's no way that kid should not have been redshirted his first year. Thought this would be very clear, was a bit surprised and kind of frustrated that did not happen. Being stuck behind RJ Barrett is a great way to never see the floor to actually work on your game against live opponents lol.

He 100% needed a full year to acclimate to D1, to playing more minutes than he was used to, etc. Doubt he was going to be a star, but I do feel he was rushed. Anyhoo I wish him the best wherever he ends up!

For Montero, I don't think this was ever a big pursuit on either side...

Regarding Hughes, I clearly remain skeptical - if he can't play D, I have ZERO interest. Don't care how many 3's he hits in practice. A guy his size playing at the 4/5 in the CAA better be ready to bring the athleticism, talent, and intensity needed on the defensive side of the floor. That's what is really needed in this program. And I've heard not one thing about that, and there is next to zero tape on this kid. So we shall see...

I am trying to be optimistic regarding HH. Size is good, can shoot (at least in practice  ), and the reports are at least positive. You are absolutely correct though Polito - If he doesn't move well and can't play "D", that will sink him. Still lots of questions, but as long as he displays athleticism and hustle I'd be willing to cut him some development time slack as he has four full years left. As you said, we shall see.....

Good news...CAA transfers need only sit out one year when transferring within the conference. TAKE NOTE OF THAT

Does anyone know why Occeus and Gresham at NE have elected to transfer? Coen has a good reputation and coming off an NCAA appearance seems a little odd. Anyone have the skinny?

Yes if there are no special rules, but Knight and Gresham are definitely going to go to a higher conference.
