He will be a key to our future, we need a bigger, more physical team if we are going to go anywhere in the post-season and a 6-3 PG is a good start.
Great to hear; need the backup for Kante and maybe a SG to redshirt a year.

That sounds like a great get - fills a need - love a PG that size.
A big with experience - JuCo or an immediate eligible transfers would be what the doctor ordered

Hate to say this but Burgess probably waiting to see what additional biggies become involved...he would be a great get for Hofstra...size, athleticism, skills, and a gritty tough on court demeanor...

If we have Burgess in the fold that's great news but if we have a SG that's redshirting who's playing that position with Jalen? We already have Cramer redshirting why would we red shirt a SG??

As we all know coach doesn't play a deep bench. We would have the Burgess, Buie, Ray and Pemberton for the 3 guard spots. i also am hoping that some combination of Radovic, Trueheart or Hughes helps take minutes at the 4 spot which would allow Coburn to play at the 3 spot. So you would have Burgess, Buie, Ray, Pemberton, Coburn, Kante, one of the three listed for the 4 spot and the backup to kante as your 8 man rotation. Just my thoughts; who knows what the actual plan is.

But if we end up getting Knox instead of a SG then even better.

He is a top target of the program, Joe is personally on him...we have a good shot although Temple is on him...but they don't have a coach.

I think gary is referring to the W&M kid - who I believe would have to sit out.

Yeah it seems like Knox is getting a fair amount of attention right now. I actually thought our main recruit was the kid from N Carolina PG Caleb Burgess? Audige could be a really good acquisition right now. I'm curious to see how all this pans out. Does anyone know if we ever had a transfer from the same conference in or out????

Burgess is a must-get. Probably willing to listen to others, can't blame him when places like Butler come calling. But I think HU and Speedy can bring him to Hempstead.

Knox is a load, a talent who's still developing - JM all over him as noted, so they see something big - prob a 1A and 1B situation. BUT I'll caution you all, he is NOT a SG. He is strong, good defender and rebounder, yes he can hit the 3 but is not a super scorer/shooter like that...yet. He is a 3 all the way. Pemba's heir.

Both of these kids play for top programs, play with and against top 100 kids. CAA ready.

Still need a SG that can fill it up. And let's be real here, Ray will 100% start next year - there is no way you can bring him off the bench next year - I know he's great in the role, but he's not here for that - he's starter quality and has been groomed to do so - plus there's no one else lol. Who would start instead? Some new transfer? Eh...

I'd rather have a newbie fill the 6th man role - which is a VITAL need in this class by the way.

I have a lot of hope for Ray, he started to show some flashes of increased assertiveness in the CAAT, and started to showcase some skills I think he's working on like the pull up jumper. He's going to start at the 2, and he's going to score some buckets.

Very short lineup though. Need some size in the worst way. Would love me some JT with Kante! Fingers crossed he wants to and is allowed to...

Yes this is what I feel that we need a SG who will get minutes and will make a contribution right away and yes I believe Jalen will and should start he has earned it and is very deserving. I still say we need to find a way to get some of Justin's scoring and probably play better D so we are giving up less points. If we don't we may lose a lot of close games. If this kid Hughes progresses and has upside we could have a very dangerous weapon but also hoping that Stafford can up his game and gets to work in the off season. People do mention Radovic and I have always said I just don't know what he brings to the team other then a three point wing who is erratic but can rebound also. We shall see and what if anything will Schutte give us? All important questions that need answers.
