Predict 8-5 for non conference portion of schedule. 12-6 for conference. Total wins-22.

Who's going?
They did a nice job this year with the event.
Any mention of other closed scrimmage?

I did post on the Season ticket holder reception thread that the coaches told me they played Sacred Heart in an exhibition and beat them pretty good, similar to the Manhattanscore with our bigs dominating play.

That's ten games on regional TV, sixteen games are on TV, and eleven CAA games in TV. That might be our most in a long time. Being in Nebraska, the local TV does not help me. When we lost at Saint Louis on December 9, 2023, it was the first time we were on TV where I was, but not where Hofstra is.

That would be 20 wins (not 22), but given all of the unknowns and after last year, I would sign up even for that right now.

Looked at the team pic on the website. Sunday looks much leaner. Hope he's in great shape and ready to ball. Also like the new uni's.

Just flagging a literal bad break for our CAA rival Northeastern. Looks like LA Pratt (who we were close to signing last offseason if I remember right?) broke his foot and is out for the year. Was their leading scorer in the early season. And in another bit of 6 degrees of Hofstra, Northeasterns 2nd leading scorer so far this yr has been Jacco Fritz's younger brother

I was looking at Temple’s 1st 2 wins and the leading scorer for Delaware State was Zion Bethea.
Might he be celebrating his 40th birthday and 6th university?
Just kidding.Glad to see he is a featured player at Delaware State.
With the transfer portal playing the where are they now game is quite a long one.

Kind of sad to see that it was the last game in 110-year-old Matthews Arena, where Teddy Roosevelt once held a campaign rally. Also the original home of the Celtics, Bruins, and Whalers (New England, in the WHA then, before becoming the Hartford Whalers and Carolina Hurricanes).

Note…Eric Parnell is the leading score for Fairleigh Dickinson at 13.8 per game. Speedy totally ignored him last year.

Anyone know anything about this kid Jahda Swann who apparently just committed to us for next year? Sounds like a legit 4 star recruit?!

Jaquan Carlos went there and used Hofstra as a stepping stone to Syracuse.

One thing that will come out of the NIL era is more high school talent available to Hofstra. 4 star recruit and his top offer was from George Mason. The big schools don't want freshman, they want upperclassmen that schools like Hofstra have developed. And they'll be recruiting them in-season, too.

Fwiw, while verbal commits doesnt yet have his commitment or even an offer from us listed, it does have Miss St, Providence, and Kansas (!) among other teams that offered this kid besides George Mason.

24/7 sports has him ranked 111th nationally, and shows the offers from Providence, Miss St and Mason as well

Neither site showed an offer from us, so seems like quite the coup here

Quite impressive that mixed tape. Can you visualize him in the backcourt with Edmeade and Cruz. That could be exciting!
