So with everything going on in college sports today lets talk about some really monumental news surrounding the women's basketball program. So after being at the helm at HU for 5 years coach Atkinson has compiled a 42-99 record. We now go out and hire Lance White(asst. coach) the former head coach at Pitt where coach Atkinson was an assistant coach his record as head coach over 5 years there was an outstanding 42-100. If you combine their wins you would still come up with a losing record? Has this university totally given up on this once proud program? You would think that maybe they bring in an asst. coach who has a winning pedigree and could be in line to take over the program if Coach Atkinson should get dismissed. Please tell me what I'm missing here??

Pride with Lance White now here former head coach and Atkinson's former boss I don't think there's room for another head coach and Swinson saw the writing on the wall. He also may have been forced out due to dwindling available salary money.
