Under-12 timeout, Gustys doesn't yet have a rebound, Tanksley managed to pick up 2 fouls 6 seconds apart, and we're down 8-14.

Their announcers have even gotten some of their own players wrong. I always swear our students do a better job at announcing than some of the "paid professionals" other schools hire.HUSID80 wrote:Tie game at 502 left this is the worst feed ever and the announcers are such homers!! Not surprised
Well, they showed me (good!). They finished 14/24 (58.3%) after that cold start, to briefly take the lead. Tied at the half, 38-38.Wags wrote:W&M scored the first 9 points and leads 10-2.
Hofstra started 1/7 from, the floor with four different guys shooting (and mostly missing). Does anyone STILL think this is a great shooting team?
They are terrible! I know it's "their team" but you can't say "we" all the time. Show an OUNCE of objectivity. They sound like fans.ProudofPride wrote:Their announcers have even gotten some of their own players wrong. That has hurt, but the plus side with that is that Green, Gustys and Bernardi -- the three guys they need most in the 2nd half -- only have one foul each.ProudofPride wrote:The biggest difference right now is free throws. We've only attempted 4 (made 3), compared to W&M's 13 attempts (made 11). If we can keep up what we're doing and cut down and fouls in the second half, we could be ok.
Yeah, I don't mind those stats, I like beating the teams we're supposed to beat, and we haven't had a team that was ever the best in the conference. Those numbers are as obvious as the sky being blue honestly.Wags wrote:Don't want to depress anyone ahead of tonight's game, but a couple of very interesting stats from Jerry Beach which don't bode well for Hofstra tonight or the rest of the way:

Not when you're the preseason favorite though. When you're that, and those are the expectations going in, you shouldn't have a losing record against the best. 2-3 against the best this year is the difference between being where Hofstra is and right there with UNCW right now.Flying Dutchmen wrote:Yeah, I don't mind those stats, I like beating the teams we're supposed to beat, and we haven't had a team that was ever the best in the conference. He's already tied his career-high of 25 pts, on 12/14 fg.ProudofPride wrote:Gustys now has his 14th double-double of the year. He's one away from the Hofstra CAA record.
I think he had 14 against Northeastern, but that was triple OT. 12 may very well be a career-high in regulation.Wags wrote:Green has 12 assists. I think that's a career-high for him.
I have to do this more often.Wags wrote:W&M scored the first 9 points and leads 10-2.
