I was going to pose the question as to whether a ROTY has ever made 2nd or for first team honors thanks for answering this Evan before it was asked!!
Your welcome. The CAA's Record Book was not working, but I downloaded it previously, so I did not need the internet to find out.

Couple of observations:
Congratulations to Davis on receiving CAA Scholar-Athlete of the Year honors to go along with his Player of the Year award. He's also planning to go to law school down the road.
I don't see an award for Most Improved Player, but I think DeCady could have been in the running for that honor as well. He got off to a rough start this year, missing a lot of outside shots, but managed to develop a respectable corner jumper to go along with his signature fake-and-drive move to the basket. He accepted the challenge of defending many of our opponents' best players and worked hard to contain them. I think he'll contribute even more next year.

It's hard to give an award to most improved player because if you restrict it to players who were in the CAA last season, it does not include guys who got much better after transferring in, which includes transferring in from a better conference. If you allow players who transfer in, it is impossible to know how much of their statistical improvement came from them, and how much came from easier opponents. When comparing players, I do not know if there will ever be a way to adjust individual statistics for strength of schedule. Estrada averaged 3.1 points in 9 games for Oregon the season he played for us. Would you have given him most improved player in his first season for us?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K4K7RH33fxs has video of the awards, and I am disappointed that only one person liked it before me. I am often the first person to like our highlights on YouTube, but this could have been liked by fans of any CAA team. It lasts 4:24, and they only had video of individual winners. They used to make a video that was over ten minutes long and I think included video of everybody on the honored teams.

You're right, Evan, it is very hard to determine who is "most improved." That's a pretty subjective judgment. But it still would be fun to award that honor so someone on the team, most likely a returning player, not a transfer.
