This team developing a habit of scoring in the final minutes of games to pull out the victory
Still a win is a win in sloppy conditions
Still would like to see more scoring from someone other than Goldthorp and Carmichael

Bjorn van Gorkom scored the only goal of an unimpressive 1-0 win hosting Binghamton, who was 2-5-1.

We moved up to Number 19. The coaches like us better than the RPI, which has us 32nd through Sunday. Charleston (43rd), UNCW (45th), and Drexel (46th) also have good RPIs. Charleston and UNCW are the two CAA teams we don't play. Ending by hosting Drexel and at Northeastern could be hard.
Six of the eleven CAA teams are in the top half of the RPI. We could win an NCAA Tournament game, or miss the NCAA Tournament.

On Saturday at 7:30 P.M. we are at Elon, who is last in the CAA with 1 point. Teams have played 3 or 4 games. Saturday will be the fifth (middle) of the nine gamedays, and the regular seasons ends on October 28. The CAA Tournament is on November 2, 5, and 11, and being one of the top two seeds is important to not have to play in the First Round and to host a Semifinal. The time of the Final will be determined during the CAA Tournament depending on if the team hosting Final is hosting a Football game that day.

I disagree that it was “unimpressive” as Binghamton tied UNH, who is 49th in RPI

Binghamton had that good game, but they're 2-6-2, and lost 2-1 at the other CAA team they played, W&M, who is 2-6-2, meaning 1-6-2 against teams other than Binghamton.

A 3-0 win at Elon was better, and started a stretch of six of the last eight games away. On Tuesday is a game at Virginia.

We're tied for second with 8 points, Stony Brook leads with 11, but they played 5 games, and some teams including us played 4. We have 8 total wins, and the next most in the CAA is Delaware's 6.

The difference between the men’s team and the women’s team is that this team has scoring
The problem is 95% of the scoring of a place named Carmichael and Goldthorp
Looking for teams to jell as the CAA tournament approaches
I have faith in Richard Nuthalls teams as they get better as the season progresses

Hofstra and Virginia play to a1-1 tie
Virginia was ranked eighth in the country and earlier beat the number six team in the country three to nothing

This is going to be looked at as an impressive game for us even though we didn't win but also didn't lose, correct.

Yes but is also a frustrating missed opportunity since were a player up with lead for most of second half and couldn’t close the deal to get the win. We will still get nice RPI bounce but would have been even more with W.

it was a tie on the road against a P5 team
it should give us a little bump in the RPI
BTW the tie against SBU was not horrible as SBU looks to have a solid squad this year
Guys correct me if I am wrong but isnt their head coach a former asst under Richard Nuthall

That’s the women’s team. Tobias Bischof was an assistant under Simon.

Eliot Goldthorp scored at 85:37, meaning with 4:23 left, in a 1-0 win hosting Monmouth. We had more shots 16 to 10, but Monmouth had more shots on goal 5 to 3. The 1 seed could be determined in a tiebreaker between us and Stony Brook, who was picked last. The head-to-head game was 1-1. If we play Stony Brook in the CAA Final, it won't be much travel for the away team, and hopefully Newsday would care.

We play to a 1-1 tie last night against Fordham who is ranked 24th. Goldthorp gets the goal his 6th on a penalty kick. We're now 9-1-4.

And to think we lost to FDU 1-0 early in the season

The more I watch this sport I begin to realize how tough it can be when you fall behind which is what we did last night. Lucky we got a penalty kick otherwise we could have lost.

The highlights gave old rankings. The new poll came out yesterday, with us falling 2 spots to 18th, and Fordham dropping out.

Next week the Selection Committee announces their top 16 so far.

We will be dropping out of the top 20 I suspect after losing to Delaware 2-1 a few nights ago.

So Stu you predicted this one as we lose to UNH 2-1. We score first and take a 1-0 lead into the second half but they score twice to win. We're now 9-3-4. Speel busy in goal with 7 saves. Maybe a reflection on our D our lack thereof?

We won 1-0 hosting Drexel, and the regular season ends on Saturday. We are in a three-way tie with Stony Brook and Monmouth. Our recap just mentioned the opportunity to clinch a top two seed, but if they tiebreaker is head-to-head, winning at Northeastern, who is tenth of eleven teams, would give us the 1 seed. We beat Monmouth and tied Stony Brook for 4 head-to-head points, Monmouth beat Stony Brook for 3 head-to-head points, and Stony Brook has 1 head-to-head point.
