If Niang played for Hofstra he wouldn't be on the list...I don't think there are ANY mid majors kids on that list...Ridiculous!

Heres a very well done team priever by the writers at CAAhoops.com (not affiliated with the CAA). It's probably the best researched preview I've read.

Both are great finds, thanks!
Feel good about the mix and match options in the post and on the wing - love the young guards, but they will be asked to do a lot first yr in order to spell the SRs - I would expect them to get in a lot of OOC games in order to prep them to be effective for conf play - this team cannot afford to exhaust Green/Tanksley/Bernardi and get through the conf tourney - need production from all in order to keep fresh legs (which was a great point in the article)

Hers an off topic item:
Went to the Stony Brook website to get tickets for the HU basketball game. Alas, you can purchase single game tickets for every home SB game except the games against HU and Albany. Those tickets are only sold as part of a mini-ticket plan. You get the HU game and have to buy tickets for two other games. What a Rip off! I have to assume that the Albany and HU games will be their most attended games and the university thinks they can sell out without offering single game tix.
Looks like HU will really be in enemy territory when they play.....I can't imagine many HU fans going to the game now.....too bad!

I'm sure Hofstra will get an allotment to sell.

I did not know that was a possibility HUSID80. I hope you are right, that's a game I would like to attend.

Good stuff!
I am especially pleased to see them be open and honest regarding the scheduling, and the clear need for this to continue to improve
Looking forward to seeing what Koon brings to the table - seems like he is the x-factor and the potential 'final piece' - seems to be a stabilizer

Fios1 news was on campus and did a segment on the women's soccer team. They interviewed a few players.

Here's the NY Post's guide to NYC college hoops

A WRHU member tweeted yesterday that he was going to have captains of the spirit support (cheer, dance, pep band) teams on for an interview. He later retweeted a link to listen to that interview. I got a chance to listen to it a little while ago, and it was actually pretty interesting. It was cool to get a different perspective on things. That's definitely worth a listen.

Wow, Kentucky at the Coliseum...that is exciting...wonder what kind of crowd they will draw?...correct me if I am wrong but I think Hofstra's last game at Coliseum was Jay Wright's final season as head coach and we beat St. Johns...Lars Grubler was on the team and Rick Apodacca had to play some at the point due to injuries/foul trouble of other players

Very, very cool! I see the fall back is Barclays Center if renovations are not completed on time at the NC. All I can say is they better finish on time. Getting Kentucky to Long Island (I know Brooklyn is still LI, but really) to HUs backyard is really big. I don't want us to play in Brooklyn......I want us in Nassau across the street from campus.

this is so HUGE it's not even funny - this isn't some established tourney, or a road game, or part of a major showcase, this is practically a home game against THE power program in the nation...and their making $ from it
Calipari comments are quite impressive as well - this whole thing is a recruiting advantage if there ever was one
I was at the SJU game at the coliseum, an awesome HU win, and the first of a few more over the next few yrs as HU dominated the NYC college ball scene
Was a pretty good crowd too, 8k-9k or so - but UK should be jammed - whatever the new NC seats, if this is marketed properly, this game should absolutely SELL OUT.
