Well I think St. John's could come to Hofstra no matter how bad they are and create a buzz.

We received a vote in the AP Poll for the second straight week. When Northeastern received one after beating South Florida, they were only voted for 1 week.
It's John Feinstein voting for us, and he tends to put mid-majors that are on the rise as 25 to give them some publicity , but it still says something that he voted for us twice in a row.

City of Basketball Love has some thoughts on the CAA. They still seem to have us as the favorites, even after the losses, and they think the POY will be between Juan'ya Green, Ameen Tanksley, and Marcus Thorton, with Green winning because he has the best all around stats.

good look for him, deserves it - he has his off games, but there's no denying when he's on HU is extremely difficult to stop - as they say, the great equalizer in this game - the 3 is what will allow HU to knock off somebody big at some point... hopefully sooner rather than later lol

HU better be ALL OVER THAT

!!!
Absolutely awesome - and a LI challenge is similar to what many of us have been hoping for
Both events can and
SHOULD be HUGE for HU - being a part of both should be a major priority - you want to create a buzz and increase interest in your program? Playing national teams in your local area will do just that - cant beat a big boy if you don't play the, - at least is would give them a perfect shot
Playing Kentucky and others in yiur backyard just
might boost recruiting

I'm disappointed Newsday didn't write a couple of sentences about Hofstra Softball's win over Elon. I'll be mad if they don't write anything about Hofstra ending James Madison's 36 game winning streak.

Newsday didn't write anything today. I'll be really disappointed if they don't write about Hofstra winning the CAA Softball Tournament.

Hofstra students, faculty, student-athletes, and coaches recently participated in Yards For Yeardley. They ran over 1 million yards on the intramural fields to raise awareness for relationship abuse and domestic violence. The efforts along with the workshop were featured on Yahoo news with Katie Couric. The video includes interviews with several Hofstra athletes, as well as footage of them running the yards.

Arise Entertainment interviewed Speedy about the NBA playoffs, and also talked a little bit about Hofstra. He emphasized that what he tells his players now (I assume he means recruits) is to pick the right school for their talent, and not the biggest name. He hopes to climb the coaching ranks, eventually become a head coach, and he wouldn't mind eventually being an NBA coach.
