Monmouth Got Their First Win Over An AP Ranked Team
Monmouth beat Notre Dame 70-68 in Florida. It was Monmouth's 900th win and improves them to 1-23 against teams ranked in the AP Poll. Monmouth was in the bottom 20 percent of the RPI in 2012-2013 (when their biggest margin of victory was by 29 over Hofstra) and 2013-2014. Last season Monmouth was 179th in the RPI. Now Monmouth is 3-1 and 13th in the RPI with wins over two of the most famous athletic schools ever, Notre Dame (albeit more famous for football) and UCLA. Monmouth is the top team in the northeast part of the country in the RPI. Monmouth had more steals (10) than turnovers (6) and Notre Dame made only 8 out of 17 free throws.

I guess their win over UCLA was not a fluke. They may be the best team in the northeast. I wonder if Jack still thinks that free throws are not important.

Where is Jack? Lost in the French Quarter I presume.
